Jupiter in Taurus from May 1940-May 1941 was during WWII.  The United States had not joined the war but it was raging in Europe. So the world was not at ease because of a World war, and there was scarcity and rationing. Pearl Harbor occurred on December 7, 1941, bringing the US into WWII when Jupiter transited in Gemini

 Jupiter in Taurus cycle during 1952-1953 - America was involved in the Korean War and the Cold war with Russia had begun. The baby boom was in full swing and the prosperity of the 1950’s in American was kicking into full swing. 

 During the 1964-1965 transit of Jupiter in Taurus. America’s involvement in the war in Vietnam had begun. American’s were becoming wealthier and wealthier, as people achieved the dream of a house in suburbia, a car in the garage, and a color tv in every house.
Jupiter came back into Taurus from March 1976 - April 1977, Jimmy Carter was elected President in the United States, bringing a Democratic president in power after eight years of Republican presidents.  Inflation continued as a problem around the world.
The transit of Jupiter through Taurus in the 80’s was from March 8, 1988- March 1989:  Ronald Reagan  was president, and Reaganomics were in full swing, to have lasting effects on American economic policy for decades later and redistributing wealth so the rich would get richer.
