Natalie had a wonderful day and couldn't wait to share her news. She was thrilled to report that Jason's cancer treatment had been successful, and they were now in the 85% of patients who responded well. Their radiation treatment would be ending next Monday, and they only had one more round of chemotherapy left before finishing next Tuesday. Natalie gave all the credit to God, noting that he had heard all their prayers and answered them.
Despite the progress they had made, Jason was still struggling with pain and side effects from the treatment. Nonetheless, Natalie was optimistic that the road ahead, though not easy, would be easier. She was grateful for the kindness shown to them by the team at MSK, which made a huge difference in their experience.
However, Natalie's joy was tempered by the loss of a close friend and colleague, Paul Baldwin, who had passed away from cancer. She reflected on his life and the impact he had on others, learning from his example and taking comfort in his peaceful passing.
