Junk Food Dinner

Things are scandalous, kinky and Nazis are threatening everyone.

In addition, your Junk Food Supper boys will be discussing Cabaret!

Sean and Parker discuss the 1972 movie directed by Bob Fosse and starring Liza Minnelli, Joel Gray and Michael York. Liza plays a swinging socialite who performs in a cool cabaret in Berlin shortly before the Nazis rise to power.

Before that, though, the boys discuss what they've been up to, what they've been watching and much more. This week's segment is a preview of what's coming to theaters in March. There's also junk mails from some of the hall of famers and Spookies Chat!

It's Sci-Fi Ebruary time traveling from last month to this month!

We're celebrating by discussing three movies about invisible men. We've also got big news about a scrrening of Spookies we'll be hosting with Outer Cinema in Cincinnati on the 22nd!

First, an invisible man is tasked with hunting a tiny killer in the Invisible Man vs The Human Fly from 1957!

Next, Chevy Chase and John Carpenter team up for a story about paranoia, loneliness and silly comedy in "Memoirs of an Invisible Man" from 1992.

Finally, Kevin Bacon and an all-star cast of scientists invest invisibility ... and sex creepiness in "Hollow Man."

All this plus Nerd News, DVDS, invisible voice mailers and so much more!

We've found a way to combine two of our favorite things: science fiction and John Carpenter, this week, as we review Starman (from 1984). But will the addition of romance-heavy drama spoil the stew? Tune in to find out.

But first! Sean gives a rundown of his Journey to Japan (and completely fails to mention his encounter with the Journey to the Center of the Earth ride at Disneyland).

So #DonloydNow and enjoy this bite-sized Junk Food Supper. We got all this plus the elephant man's jacked-up looking brother is outta work, the Japanese toilet situation (revisited), the scenic beauty of a swan party, the Wendy's Inflation Factor, relaxing musical beds, belches, sneezes, gleeks and so much more!!

We're boldly going where no podcaster has gone before! Talking about Star Trek! Engage!

Sean is out for the week, so Parker is joined by podcasting legend, Babylegs Eric to discuss Star Trek: First Contact, the second TNG movie and probably the best one. In it, evil robots conquer the earth in the past and only the Enterprise crew can stop them.

We also discuss Babylegs' secret podcast origin story and we talk a lot about Warhammer. We also getr some voicemails from some Hall of Famers and rate them on the boob scale.

All this and more!

The boys are back this week! After an unfortunate series of events, they discuss Dexter, Japan, the JFD meet up, get some voice mails and so much more.

Then Sean and Parker cope with their own senility while watching a collection of TV show intros.

After that, they discuss the Denis Villeneuve film, "Blade Runner 2049." How does it stack up against the Ridley Scott original? Is Harrison Ford a good actor? What is Ryan Gosling doing? All these questions answered and more!

The rumors were true! We're capable of picking movies that aren't based on Journey to the Center of the Earth. But only because we respect the Japanese so much! It's time for us to chat Miyazaki again with his 1984 feature Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind!

But first! We chat about our favorite movies from the year 1983! Not, not 1984, the year of Nausicaa's release. Parker has his reasons, I suppose.

So #DonloydNow and enjoy this bite-sized Junk Food Supper. We got all this plus a list of what's legally outlawed in Cinci, easy-snazzy tunes, the wrath of the math, the Ted Raimi beef revisited, the CM Punk beef rehashed, a bland-ass Rumble, odds that are not surmountable, your up-to-date Sumo News update, the most honorable deaths in Japan, things you can see on YouTube (if you're a perv), pre-internet flea marketing for ALFs, a pleasant conversation about Brian DePalma, a heated conversation in regards to David Cronenberg, belches, sneezes, gleeks and so much more!!

JFD returns and we're celebrating the new year the only way we know how, with our tradional Happy Nude Year episode! In addition to reviewing three classic skin flicks, we'll also be counting down our favorite films from 2023!
Up first, a mad scientist helps a visitor from outer space find some hot chicks for his planet (with the help of Frankenstein and the Mummy) in the 1964 nudie cutie Kiss Me Quick!
Then, we get a XXX retelling of the classic Charles Dickens tale A Christmas Carol, only this time with much more sex and nudity in The Passions of Carol from 1975.
And finally, a young woman travels to Tokyo on a mission to collect 100 "penis prints" in the 1981 Japanese softcore film I Love It From Behind.
All this plus Kevin's surgery stories, our top films of 2023, our least favorite movie of last year and so much more!

Your boys are back and they're smoking heavy doobies!

Sean and Parker discuss the movies and TV shows they've been watching in anticipation of their Top 2023 Year-End lists next week.

Then, Parker plays a Sean-hosted game show. How many Full Moon movies can he guess from the parent's guide descriptions on imdb? The answer may surprise you!

The movie this week is brought to us by the aforementioned Full Moon. It's The Gingerweed Man from 2021. It's a spin-off of the Gingerdead Man / Evil Bong universe where a cute little weed man gets into wacky pupper stoner adventures.

All this plus junk mails and JFD meet up chat!

The rumors were true! The journey does indeed continue! Our multi-year tribute to Jules Verne continues with The Journey to the Center of the Earth (the NBC TV movie from 1993)! Get your volcano suits ready because we're diving back in!

But first! We chat all the movies we've ever reviewed and stack rank them, again!

So #DonloydNow and enjoy this bite-sized Junk Food Supper. We got all this plus Ohio's laws on inked skins, the Brass Ass and the Surf Ranch [alluded to], Sean's brief mention of seeing two movies, Zack Snyder's fall from grace continued, underground undersea undertones underneath, which Journey was worst?, the Sam Raimi surprise, F Murray F's us over, multiple Twin Peaks connections, sneezes and so much more!!

Do you like Scary Movies?

Well we may have one for you this week as we review Scream VI, starring Jenna Ortega and directed and written by the Radio Silence team. This is the 2023 one where Ghostface goes to New York.

We also discuss our 2024 movie watching goals and we get yelled at in the Voice Mails and are still confused by just exactly what is a Bouvier. We also remind you to sign up for the Patreon as we're now entering Season 3 of Twin Peaks in the Bonus Episodes. And come to Cincinnati March 22-24 for the JFD MeetUp at HorrorHound.
