Disgraced medical examiner of Rhode Island, who left the office amidst a hail storm of criticism, testified for Karen Read in her murder trial today. Karen Read is on trial for hitting her police officer boyfriend John O’Keefe and leaving him to die alone in a blizzard. Dr. Laposata testified that John O’Keefe was not hit by a car and died within 15 minutes of blunt trauma. Dr. Laposata also refuted criticism of how she handled the Station nightclub fire where a hundred people died claiming the criticism was all “erroneous stuff”. Let’s talk about it.
