Smartphones. Social media. "Likes". "Retweets". We are more "connected" than ever before - but at what cost? The year is 2018. We are hearing more and more about a new plane of reality that many are calling the "Internet". Former child star and prolific Christian auteur Kirk Cameron's most recent project as a producer is CONNECT, a documentary about how Christian parents need to rise to the occasion to protect their kids from Satanic influences in the smartphone epoch. Topics including cyberbullying, porn addiction, and child predators are explored with a level of awkward tactlessness that is to be expected by someone who is just learning what the internet is in 2018. However, CONNECT's twist ending is a work of genius that elevates this silly documentary to a divinely inspired work of art.
