Knowing is Half the Podcast

Who doesn’t love DIC pics? We’ve got comedian Jesse Klein with us to talk about a curious bit of ‘90s ephemera called Mummies Alive.

Mummies Alive is to the wonderful Gargoyles what DIC G.I. Joe is to original G.I. Joe - a cheaper, grosser knock-off of the good stuff.

Let’s ride with cool absentee father Bubba who is definitely going to spend that prize money on seeing his son, not on meth! Plus, we talk rural planning and Geb’s plan to … keep humanity out of his forest right next to a city forever? Also, who doesn’t love a theme song that explains the set up of the show in EXCRUCIATING detail?

What’s your secret shame cartoon? The one you loved as a kid, but are pretty sure doesn’t hold up as an adult? Let us know on the Facebook page and we’ll try to tackle it for you. Thanks for listening!

It's Christmas time and Ray maybe went too far out on a limb last week saying Season 3 was over!!!

So enjoy this holiday "Between Seasons" special!!!

Someone named Gina Ippolito is back in LA and rejoins the show to talk all about the majesty of living in NYC!

And speaking of NYC, Filmmaker Anne Coburn flew all the way in from The Big Apple just to talk about this cartoon with us!

Is that last part true? Probably Not! Is it possible? Sure howdy!

We've got some holiday themed episodes to bring you all through December and then it will be Gijoe Series 2 come the New Year!!!!!

It's December! That means that big things are happening for the show!

This is the Season 3 finale and very soon things will look and sound different!

Well sorta, Gina's coming back, we're getting the name of the show back, and all of Season 2 will come out of lockdown!

It's a time for celebration. What better cartoon to celebrate with than Shirt Tales!!!

Most of them you say? Pish tosh!

Shirt Tales!!!!!!!

How did we not know that this show existed? 40 episodes of Mutant League were made in all, a show based on a video game that itself was ripping off a tabletop game!

You know this is going to be brilliant! With such glowing reviews as;

"This is a bottom 5 cartoon that we've watched" - Robert Clarke-Chan

"No!" - Eileen Mary O'Connell

"You guys, this is great!" -Ray Stakenas

If you like shameless throwaway murder in your 90's cartoons, buckle in cause we are going for a ride!!!! Wear your helmet if you love decapitation!!!!!

Scary November continues with the famed 90's cartoon that people kinda sorta still remember existed....Tales from the Cryptkeeper!

Half morality tales for kids, half confusing Vaudeville for...kids?

Who is the mysterious Witch character?

Who is the mysterious Vaultkeeper character??

Will we actually find out???

Probably not....ENJOY!!!!

Let's expand out the Hasbro universe some more!

Inhumanoids was the brain child of friend of the show Flint Dille, who seemingly wanted to scare every small child of the 80s within an inch of their lives.

Mission Accomplished! This cartoon is legit terrifying!!

Returning 'Knowing All Star' Calder Holbrook joins us (VHS tape in hand) to break down an episode that features a character known by GIJoe fans very well...Hector Ramirez!!!

Enjoy!!!!

Ok gang, we're going for the weird ones now;

Gilligan's Planet was a short run cartoon in the 80's where the characters of Gilligan's Island made a rocketship and landed it on an alien planet.

Yup.

Knowing All-Star Marshall Givens returns to the show to figure out exactly what the heck is going on.

Also, the episode we're doing is called Space Pirates, cause there are Space Pirates too.....

Knowing Season 3 (We're getting our name back soon!) does not believe in doing things the conventional way.

Where other shows would put their Halloween episodes BEFORE Halloween, we drop ours on November 2nd.

Hope you guys are stoked for our January Christmas content!

All mirth aside resident Garfield fan Jeff Davidson joins us because Garfield made a strangely constructed Halloween episode and we must discuss!!!
