Could this be the beginning of the end for Meta? The social media giant has faced lawsuit after lawsuit, and they keep losing. This week, a case in California goes to trial. Legal experts say it could mean the end for the parent company of Facebook and Instagram. In this edition of "Ask the Attorney," KSL Legal Analyst Greg Skordas explains what makes this case so unique… and potentially so devastating.
Get this: you need a copy of your birth certificate, but the state won't give you a copy because it's missing your first and middle names. And despite applying over and over for a corrected copy, no dice -- the state still says no. That's the situation a Utah man recently found himself in, until he turned to the Governor's office for help. But now, the programs are plaguing the man's brother and wife. KSL Investigator Daniella Rivera joins us in the studio to talk more about this interesting situation.
One year ago, Utahns of all walks of life took a collective pause -- a moment to catch our breath. On August 17, 2025, two law enforcement officers in the small northern Utah town of Tremonton were gunned down and killed. The tragedy rocked the small Box Elder County community. Thousands turned out in the coming days and weeks to mourn and honor Sergeant Lee Sorenson and Officer Eric Estrada. Inside Sources takes a few minutes to remember the sacrifice of these two brave men.
Things could get a little interesting down in Eagle Mountain. The city council will vote on a 183% property tax increase tomorrow. And just last week, we learned that more than 700 people will soon be out of a job when Tyson Foods closes its beef processing facility in the city. When they announced the closure, Tyson Foods said it was due to an historic cattle shortage. Either way, it feels like a one-two punch for folks living in one of the fastest-growing regions in the state.
A dad and son from southern Utah are eating their way through every county in the state… on a Mexican food road trip. 12-year-old Carson Palma and his dad Jake are from Monticello, and say their limited choices in Mexican food there led them to this idea. Now, they're visiting each one of Utah's 29 counties with a singular goal in mind: eat Mexican food in each county. The Inside Sources hosts discuss the trip and hear from listeners who share the restaurants they think the duo should not miss!
Nearly half of non-retirees in America say they're skeptical that they'll ever be able to fully retire. Many of them cite artificial intelligence, rising costs, and continued economic uncertainty as the reasons for their doubts. Greg and Holly share their concerns about impending retirement and discuss the findings of a new report with Shane Stewart, certified financial planner with DMBA.
President Trump says he wants to substantially reduce joint military exercises with South Korea because of his very good relationship with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. He says North Korea has been unthreatening and respectful the entire time he's been president and that it's inappropriate and hostile to send a message of strength and unity with our ally South Korea. He also says the move is because South Korea hasn't helped in the war with Iran. Greg and Holly have a lot of concerns with this kind of international political move; they explain.
After nearly a year and a half, police have finally made an arrest in the deaths of a Saratoga Springs woman and her son. Jessica Orton Lyman and her son, Eli Painter, were found shot in their home back in March 2025. Police say they've arrested a 16-year-old, but haven't given any other information. Why did this arrest take so long, and why won't police say who they've arrested, even though they've spoken about this supposed teen several times before? Inside Sources breaks it down.
KSL Movie Show hosts Val Cameron and Andy Farnsworth are split on this week's big movie: The End of Oak Street. They join Greg and Holly to give a little taste of what listeners can expect should they see the movie this weekend. They also discuss another movie centered on a U.S. President and ask the big movie question of the week: what is your favorite movie about a U.S. President (real or fictional)?
