Our guest this week is a young ripper from Hawaii whose roots run deep in both the ocean and the culture. Though he’s half Australian, his Hawaiian heritage shines through—both his parents surf and have worked in the surf industry, and he’s a proud graduate of Kamehameha Schools, an institution dedicated to students of Hawaiian ancestry.Bright, motivated, and multi-talented, he’s already earned his pilot’s license, launched a plant nursery, and is diving deep into the world of design, graphics, fashion, and beyond. He even runs his own creative video production company, PULU,LLC.
We’re stoked to talk story about his North Shore upbringing, his wide range of passions, and what’s on the horizon for this rising star.
Please welcome to the show, Kuio “KUI” Young.
Our guest this week is a true legend.
A pioneer from the golden era of surf, skate, and punk rock he lived at the heart of it all during the wild ride of the 80s and 90s. He’s the founder and driving force behind SkaterBuilt, a brand that’s took him around the globe with some of the most iconic Surfers and Skaters we know! With over 200 surfboards in his collection, he’s more than just a collector, he’s a living curator of Surf culture, preserving the soul and stories of our history!
From backyard ramps to punk rock chaos, “DAVE-O” has lived it all. Raw, Real, and Loud, and though he’s faced serious health challenges, he is now on the road to recovery after heart failure. But he’s still here, still standing, and still charging with the same fire he’s always had.
We’re beyond honored to have him with us, in person today, the one and only, Dave “DAVE-O” Hegstrom.
We got to sit down with
Tess & Travis Booth of Distant Local
Kolohe "BROTHER" Andino of Steko
LG Shaw of WRV
Raul Pinto of Satellite Boardshop
Kekoa Cazimero of AVVA
Thanks Josh Rifkin, CARV Expo and Surfer Magazine
Our guest this week has been shaping the tech side of the Surf Industry for over 25 years. His journey began in 2000 with tech support and customer service at Swell.com, and soon after, he made his mark at Surfline, starting in ad sales and eventually leading the charge in media innovation.
By 2005, he was driving the evolution of Surfline’s online video content, long before they were known for anything beyond surf forecasts and cams. He helped build out their media channels from the ground up : YouTube, social media, and working on iconic projects like Wave of the Winter.
But his most groundbreaking contribution? The creation of Surfline’s Auto-Editing and Tracker technology. The innovation that became Surfline Sessions. This tool revolutionized how surfers capture and relive their rides, earned a SIMA Award, and remains one of Surfline’s most successful and beloved products to date. Please welcome to the show our longtime friend and visionary in surf tech, Mr. Marc Beaty!
Our guest this week is a powerhouse in the world of surfing. Born in Brazil and now based in the beautiful island of Kauai, Hawaii. She made waves early in her career, earning the title of Rookie of the Year in 2015 and has since gone on to secure four Championship Tour wins. She proudly represented Brazil in both the 2020 and 2024 Summer Olympics, bringing home a silver medal, and added another prestigious title to her name by becoming the ISA World Surfing Games Champion in 2023. Taking a step away from competition, she recently turned her creative energy toward storytelling with her film “A Marble in a Jar" . Please welcome to the show the incredibly talented, resilient, and inspiring Tatiana ‘Tati’ Guimarães Weston-Webb!”
Our guest this week is a Television and Film Producer, Director, and Writer. A graduate from California State University, Long Beach in journalism, he spent 5 years working for Surfing Magazine and became Senior Editor. He went on to work for Walt Disney Studios and was eventually hired at Fox, where his groundbreaking series won a Golden Globe Award and ran for 11 seasons. It was later adapted into a successful feature film. We welcome the creator of The X-Files, Mr. Chris Russell Carter.
This week, we’re stoked to welcome two longtime friends who grew up in the surf town of San Clemente. Frustrated with the state of social media and feeling like their generation was missing a true print publication that represented their lifestyle — surf, skate, snow, music, art, and everything in between. These college visionaries took matters into their own hands. What did they do? They launched YÜTH MAGAZINE — a bold new platform and print magazine that celebrates the culture they live and breathe. Their second issue just dropped, and we’re fired up to dive into the story behind it. Please welcome the creators of YÜTH MAGAZINE, Carson Kropfl and Mikey Walshe!

We had the pleasure of sitting down with Courtney McKenna-McKenna VW and Macy Mullen -Vast Life. Thank you Vipe Desai for having us!
We sat down wit Mark "OCCY" and Jay "J-BOY" Occhilupo at JS Industries. Thanks to Dane "JAH" Jefferys and Heath "NUTTY" Walker for having us!
Our guest this week is one of the most unique characters in the surf world. He’s an aggressive stock day-trader, a conspiracy theorist on just about every topic, a passionate amateur archaeologist, a part-time janitor for a school district, and an actor! But more than anything, he is one of the most “CORE” surfers we know. For over 30 years, he has been traveling the globe and scoring perfect waves. Whether he’s constantly glued to Surfline or has developed some secret formula blending swell, wind, and tide data (we’re not sure). What we do know is If he is out in the lineup, then you’re probably at the best spot on the coast, if not in the entire world. His uncanny ability to quick-strike the world’s best swells comes down to his secret weapon, his ultra-rare “Golden Ticket” airline pass, which has unlocked access to every bucket-list wave on the planet. Please welcome the most interesting man in the surf world, Mr. Tom “REZZY” Rezvan.
