JJ Redick told us all he doesn't trust this roster. Well, the person who put this roster together obviously deserves blame if this series continues on the way it's gone to this point. Anthony explains, especially as it pertains to the center position.
Anthony starts the show with optimism. We swear. He said he was gonna do it and almost ranted himself out of the plan, but he did it. From there, well, yeah, things didn't stay so optimistic. Rui, Dorian, Gabe, Vando and Hayes probably won't want to listen to this one.
Anthony made the editorial decision live on the spot to start with optimism and it may have induced a migraine. Funny thing is: As frustrating as that loss was, there actually is reason to still believe in this team.
After starting the show with optimism, Anthony turned his attention to why the Lakers are currently sitting down 2-1: The role players have mostly underperformed. If they don't pick it up, this is going to be a short trip to the postseason.
Anthony welcomed Matt Moore (The Action Network, Everyone's Favorite Podcast Guest) to preview game three and discuss the series to this point. The guys talk about what the Lakers did well in game two and what adjustments Minny might have tonight. They talk about the Lakers' chances from here on out and the west playoffs as a whole.
Anthony and Matt talk about the Lakers' tactical adjustments from game one to two and what Minnesota can now do to adjust in game three.
Anthony and Matt discuss Rudy Gobert, who the internet is arguing about again. From there, they zoom out to the rest of the postseason to discuss their picks to come out of the west now that the series are underway.
Anthony wrote about Hayes and Vando for ClutchPoints and narrates the piece for today's Lowdown.
Anthony and Raj have now rewatched the game at least once each and had some notes on what the Lakers did beyond, you know, trying harder and staying more disciplined. They offered those up, celebrated LeBron's defense, discussed Austin's struggles from deep and hit on everything in between and beyond.
