We’ve waited years for Star Citizen 4.0, and even now the update is not technically in our hands. But there are reasons to believe the next update is the vaunted server meshing update, and we may see it this summer according to a new roadmap update. But what’s included, and why is this the first major version change to Star Citizen since 2017. I’m joine dby Star Citizen streamer Xerostate to discuss the update and its place in the journey to release.

This original recording of episode 154 was video corrupted and lost the last 20 minutes of the recording. For this reason, the audio only will be released as a bonus episode, and a new version of this will be published next week. In this episode, I discuss with Star Citizen streamer Xerostate what various parts of the game may need to be developed or improved on for this game to reach a 1.0 release state.

The RSI Polaris is one of the most anticipated ships in Star Citizen, and it’s finally headed for the game. For the first time players will see the capital class ship in-game at Invictus Launch Week in May, but how will we experience it, and why are players so excited for it. Today’s episode invites Execute from the Inforunners to discuss the upcoming ship, it’s origins, and what capital ships will mean for the game.

Everybody has a different story for how they found their main game, no matter what it is. Star Citizen ends up bringing many players from games that may not traditionally lead to a space flight MMO sim, but that’s because they game aims for much more. In today’s episode I’m joined by streamer YoyoMeg to talk about her own journey from FPS console shooters to the PC MMO Star Citizen, a journey I and many others share. Hope you enjoy!

2 months ago Star Citizen youtuber SaltEMike joined me on the show to discuss his feelings for Star Citizen Alpah 3.23. They were hype. Since then some items have been added to the update, and some (big ones) removed. Today we have chance to reconvene and discuss latest feelings about how these features actually ended up feeling in-game, whether the update still feels as exciting, and honest thoughts about persistent hangars and cargo updates being delayed. Enjoy!

Star Citizen Alpha 3.23 is finally in the first wave of public testing. While there is still plenty more to learn about it, we’ve had several hours to test out some of the first features and have quite a bit to say! I’ve invited Beyond The Verse host, Sulyce, on to the show to talk first impressions, when the update may go to live servers, and what could be coming after that!

Engineering gameplay will add a multitude of resources to ships, vehicles, and buildings that players will need to balance and control for maximum efficiency. This could provide a TON more unique gameplay for players, but it also could make ship ownership more difficult. Today I’m joined by Loud Guns to discuss the complexities and reasons for engineering, and whether it may ruin solo gameplay for Star Citizen players.

From the Polaris to the Zeus, Star Citizen has a full spread of ships in production to be delivered in 2024. Some are known and some are not, some are combat and some are industrial. I'm joined by YouTuber Farrister today to provide these ships, talk about what we know of each one, and speculate on when they might be released. If you like spaceships, this one is for you.

- Over the last few weeks Star Citizen has technically achieved it’s 2017 stated goal of a server meshed environment. While there is plenty more work to be done until it runs as needed for the game at large, early results are impressive. With almost 800 players ina single system, jump points leading players to Pyro, and tip top performance like we haven’t seen before, there’s a lot to talk about. Today I’m joined by Hybrid V Audio to discuss the impressive first tests of server meshing, and what comes next.
