Today we’re talking with the founder of Quest Bars about how he was able to build a health bar empire. Quest Bars sell 1.5 million bars per day, and today he is giving us a behind the scenes view of what it takes to do something on that scale, and just importantly, what it feels like to achieve the much success.
Tom places a tremendous amount of emphasis on where your self esteem comes from. If your self esteems comes from being right, you will feel too threatened to admit when you’re wrong, and learn from it. But if your self esteem instead comes from the idea that you are an incredible learner, the best learner in any room, you will be willing to admit when you’re wrong.
Just like he says, your behavior is driven by your identity. So the process of defining to yourself what your own identity is, will change your behavior, and in fact is one of the most powerful ways to change your behavior to be what you want it to be.
