Waithe, who has also written for and starred in Master of None, Ready Player One, and The Chi, recalls finding the show through Nickelodeon’s Nick At Nite and parallels Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ own career ascension to Moore’s, while Rajani gives us the update on the duo’s next documentary, which chronicles Timbaland and Swizz Beatz’s lockdown-producing Verzuz series while also telling the story of turning to Black music for comfort in turbulent times.
