The Summer Solstice, on June 21st, is the day that marks the beginning of Summer and celebrates the longest day of the year, and the shortest night. In Pagan times, the Summer Solstice was referred to as Litha and rituals were conducted to honor the Sun gods, the Divine Light and the element of fire.
How can we celebrate and pay tribute to the sun today? Spend time in Nature, play outdoors, take a sun bath, go for a hike, watch the sunrise and the sunset, and light a bonfire. This is a time of expansion so spend time with your loved ones, feel gratitude for all you have in your life.
You are alive and you are SHINING!
I will guide you in a small ritual to connect with your inner fire and set an intention for this time.
The beginning of spring is a moment of shift, we find ourselves in a moment of transition from a feminine, receptive and intuitive energy to a more active and expansive masculine energy.
This time has traditionally been observed as a time of rebirth and renewal. For this reason, many cultures have celebrated the March equinox as the first day of the new year.
It’s also known as Ostara, a time for rituals and celebrations surrounding the themes of fertility, new beginnings, and rebirth.
How can we celebrate this moment and tune in with the energy of Spring?
1. Go outside and connect with Nature
2. Plant new seeds
3. Restore balance in our homes with a spring cleaning ritual
A short meditation and visualization to celebrate the Spring Equinox. The Spring Equinox represents the start of a new cycle, a new beginning, and honors the infinite fertility of Mother Nature. We are inseparable from her cycles, we shift and move with her, we dance with her and her seasons. She reminds us that after the darkness the light is coming back, new life is sprouting after winter. And, YOU ARE BLOSSOMING, too, darling!
Here are some ritual ideas for today:
Journaling prompts:
What intentions do you want to plant for your life? What wish do you want to confide to mother earth that you want to see blossom?
"You are your own worst critic", they say, and it’s so true! We critique and judge ourselves in so many ways. But today we’ll work on practicing some loving and nurturing self-talk. Instead of being your worst critic, you can become your best supporter, your best cheerleader. Because it’s in your power to change the perspective through which you view yourself and as a consequence, others and the world. Feminine energy is all about being nurturing, kind, loving, compassionate and we need to start with ourselves.
A short meditation and visualization to celebrate the Winter Solstice, the longest night of the year. It marks a turning point - the rebirth of light and it’s a great moment to let go, to make space for the new light to come, and also to go within and reflect. Allow yourself to slow down, tune in with your body, sleep, rest, and recharge.
Here are some ritual ideas for today:
Take a sea salt bath + Burn sage/incense/palo santo to purify your home + Journal
Journaling prompts:
What do I want to let go of this year? What do I leave behind and what do I take with me into the new year? In what areas of my life do I want to bring light?
How many things do you do at the same time? Do you think you are good at multitasking?
In this episode, we'll talk about how important it is to slow down and do one thing at a time because -spoiler alert- multitasking does not work.
Instead of doing more, let’s learn how to go deep, how to give full and undivided attention to every little thing we do. Do one thing at a time, do more single-tasking.
In the same way we are detached from our bodies, we are detached from Nature. In this episode, we will try to reconnect with the cycles and rhythms of Nature through a small ritual. Nature is the greatest of teachers out there! We can learn to align with her, she is wise, she knows what’s right in that specific time of the year. We need winter to enjoy summer and we need to rest and look inwards in order to have energy and be outside in the world.
Breathing is incredible... it helps with digestion, improves immunity, lowers the heart rate and cortisol levels, reduces stress, and helps us sleep. Once we connect with our breath, we feel more grounded, relaxed, present.
In this episode, we'll learn a bit more about the benefits of deep breathing and we'll practice a couple of breathing exercises.
In this episode, I'll walk you through a short story of masculine and feminine energy.
We'll also try to stop for a moment, say "hi" to our bodies, be present in the here and now because the first step towards living in harmony is to stop and observe our behaviors, to start questioning them.
Everything starts with being present. And we'll get home to ourselves through breathing.
If you want to read more about the topic, I suggest you read the book "The Bingo Theory" by Mimi Ikonn, from which I took inspiration to write this episode.
