When Cliff Louis, former NFL player and current real estate agent/ investor, found himself crawling on the floor from his bed to the bathroom, he knew something was terribly wrong. He didn’t think it was COVID-19 until a trip to urgent care and the ER confirmed it. Senator Turner and Louis talk about what it takes for Black folk, Black men and all of us to trust going to the doctor. Louis’ COVID-19 fight helps us realize self-preservation only happens with self-care, and for some of us, that is going to include more than prayer, a hot compress and hope. It includes affordable health care and a healthy mindset on using it. #HelloSomebody!
