Every area of your life is as important as the next. Neglect one and the potential of all the others crumbles. I have seen this happen in my life time and time again, so I want to share this as a warning and give some guidance to others, helping to live life in alignment, which means living life well rounded within each area of it. For any younger athletes listening I think this one is particularly helpful and I wish I heard someone talk about this when I was learning both about myself and what it takes to reach higher levels of the game (football) and life.
We all want to accomplish things in life, some may be more challenging than others, but in order to achieve any goal - no matter the scale - you will need some form of discipline in your life. Now discipline can be a very vague term in the sense of not explaining what it entails. In this episode I attempt to break down what it means on a practical and applicable level as well as the surrounding issues you could face that stem from attempting to be disciplined.
Welcome to the first episode of a new bonus series I am hosting here on LIVELIFECOMPLEX where I have YOU on to talk about what it is you're passionate about. I've created this as a way for us to create discourse that is more personal than just typing in DMs. For a chance to be featured, follow and message @livelifecomplex on IG letting me know who you are, when you started listening, and what you would like to talk about on the episode. In this episode we cover what a younger footballer should be doing on their path to the next levels of football. Armaan has his training and daily routine down and I think all of you listening can take away something from his example, and even if not this will leave you inspired to start pursuing your dreams after listening to someone so young treat his craft with such passion and diligence. I know I left this conversation amped and inspired, hope it has the same effect on you, enjoy!
I've always struggled with the idea that sometimes not training is the correct thing to do. The tricky part is knowing when you have a good reason to or not and that just requires knowing your physical limits. My career thus far is littered with injuries of all kinds so I have a good idea as to what those limits are. I dive into all of that and more in this episode, as well as what to pay attention to when you do take that time off. Stick around to the end for a special announcement where some of you may have a chance to be featured as a guest on the podcast!!
After almost a month of not recording anything there is so much I want to get out, so rather than structuring out my thoughts and presenting them in a coherent way, I have decided to ramble my way through 20 minutes of a podcast episode. That aside I do talk about how I spend my time and what makes me productive/truly feel fulfilled most when it comes to my day to day life, melatonin and fixing my sleep schedule, what goes in to being an athlete and how attention to detail is key (and more). Enjoy this therapy session of a podcast I had with myself and lmk what real topics you want to have me cover on another episode✌🏼
