May 25, 2020Productivity begins in the morning - It's the little things that have the greatest impact on your life (pt. 1/5)This is part 1 of 5 in a mini series I'm making just for the this week. May 23, 2020Reconnect with who you are by disconnecting from what the world wants you to be - a reflection on how easy it is to become lostSometimes I can fall into a rut where I feel unmotivated, low energy and start looking at the world through a negative and pessimistic lens, often questioning the very basis of what usually gets me excited and passionate about living life. I have been in that rut for the past week or so, and it is only today that I have been feeling more myself. I took this opportunity to reflect (perfect timing for Friday's episode) and really dive deep into what it is that triggers this cascade of negativity, and what I can do to reverse it. The main lesson is: be proactive in life. If you ever find yourself being passive or even worse; reactive, then check yourself and really reflect on what it is that you want out of this life and put into question your daily actions that should be furthering you towards it. In this episode I go into what got me feeling this way and the steps I am taking to get out of it, and ofc what would an episode be without a few classic livelifecomplex rants sprinkled in. At the end of the day no amount of material gain will bring lasting satisfaction to our lives and this is truly the root cause of this pseudo-depression that both I and others periodically experience: the realization that the majority of our time is spent on meaningless tasks is a hard truth to face. However, if you can not only face it but understand that correcting this is exactly where you need to start directing your energy towards - if you are searching for some sort of fulfillment in this life - then you already have a better start than most....more17minPlay
May 21, 2020When doing less is doing more (rest, recovery, and a proper pre-season for injury prevention)It can be hard to wrap your mind around the fact that sometimes not training can be more beneficial than training. Sometimes. The only danger with recognizing this is that it can be used as an excuse to not put in the work when you least feel like it. There's a difference between being lazy and being fatigued/needing to rest and recover, it just takes a healthy amount of self-awareness to see when is which. In this episode I not only rant about the importance of recovery for injury prevention but the importance of a good pre-season for the same reasons. Sleep took over the episode as the main focus as it is most likely to be the one thing that most everyone struggles with and the one thing I myself have never been able to 100% conquer....more22minPlay
May 19, 2020Why your focus truly does become your reality - capitalize on what you can control in lifeYou are whatever you focus on and ultimately, you are your reality. In this episode I talk about how I believe momentum to be the most powerful force in the universe and how it can take affect in your life in both positive and negative ways. I also cover how there is no secret to being motivated and doing what you know you need to do when you least feel like doing it. Finally I talk on how vibrations are real and can affect you sub-consciously, I believe that just like with meditation and veganism this concept will become more mainstream in the near future....more14minPlay
May 16, 2020How to find the balance between pushing your limits and injuring yourself - Q&A FridayIn this episode I dive into 2 questions submitted through my Instagram stories. If I did not get to your question just know that every single one was good and it was so difficult to choose which to respond to. I will be doing this again, and don't worry, I will most likely be answering yours on the next Q&A episode. As always thank you for listening and feel free to leave a voice message with any questions or feedback. To stay updated with the podcast follow it on IG and Twitter @livelifecomplex . May 14, 2020Turning DIET into LIFESTYLE (and why this is the key for transformation) w/the JOURNEYFOOTBALLERSThis episode is all about how diet should not be viewed as temporary, in fact, when it becomes a lifestyle the opportunities for transformation are endless. Not only will proper nutrition separate yourself from those who aren't putting in that effort, it will make you never want to return to your previous ways. Hear this side of the story from the Journeyfootballers and how studying and implementing proper nutrition helped them get to where they are now. Enjoy!! (I was also on their podcast recently so if you want to hear a full interview about my life thus far, go check out that episode on their podcast - Journeyfootballers....more19minPlay
May 11, 2020The irreplaceable nature of surrounding yourself with like-minded peopleI've just come off recording an episode with the Journeyfootballers (listen to that ep. here: https://anchor.fm/joseph-liberatore/episodes/Ep-1--Chat-with-Diegotgl-edtntk/a-a5g0os), and it got me thinking. Listening to them talk made me realize just how important it is to have people around you who have the same goals, drive and aspirations as you. I give my thoughts on this topic as well as the consequences/benefits of having an outer source of motivation and why surrounding yourself with the right people could be the slight edge that gives you an advantage over others. Enjoy the podcast and stay tuned for Wednesdays episode where I have the Journeyfootballers on to talk about fitness/health and ofc, football....more8minPlay
May 09, 2020Separate yourself from others by building a foundation for successFrom the few things I have observed all successful people have in common, to analogies on how important having a solid philosophy on life is; I cover an array of different thoughts in this 15 minute podcast. My goal is to show just how simple it is to stand out from the rest...on paper. The difficult part is continually living in alignment with your foundational take on life. Consistency will always persevere but that does not mean making mistakes and being inconsistent at times is necessarily wrong. Mediocrity sets in the moment you step off your path. I explain all in this episode of the LIVELIFECOMPLEX Podcast....more16minPlay
May 06, 2020Keeping fit in quarantine as a footballer w/SOHEIL VARThis is a very special episode as I have my first remote guest in LIVELIFECOMPLEX history, Soheil Var (who is playing football in Austria) to come on and talk about how he has been getting creative when it comes to keeping fit in quarantine.
