Many people ask me what’s the secret to always keep progressing and not stopping? I have built strong work ethics which I’ve been following since I started my business Access Travel. I strongly believe that everything starts from ourselves, which applies to our work and our personal life. Nobody is coming to save us, and we are responsible for our dreams, our goals, and how where we want to end up in life. In this episode, I share my top 10 ways on how you can build stronger work ethics. I hope this will help you get to where you want to be.

  • Ep. 56: 20 Lessons at 31! It’s my Birthday!

Where did time go? I was just 16 when I first took my flight to New York, and this week I turn 31  The passion and inspiration still burning in my heart insanely, I have learned to create a life at my own terms. When will I stop? Never. I will live my life to the fullest without feeling sorry about my success and failures because I deserve everything I’ve worked for.

And I have nothing to wish, I am exactly where I saw myself 10 years ago. The only gift I am giving myself is long-term financial stability and freedom. My hard work, discipline, consistency and patience is paying off. I am teary eyed while typing this — the journey was so challenging, the tears shed before I got here, but grateful that extremely challenging days are behind me.

  • Ep. 55: Ghosting is Not About You

Have you ever been ghosted by someone? Or have you ever ghosted someone? It’s a horrible feeling and I’ve experienced it myself, it’s so hard to move on with many many questions in your mind. They leave you in the middle of nowhere. It’s important to remind yourself that it’s NEVER about you, but at the same time this also doesn’t make them a terrible person. Everybody has their own traumas, experiences, personalities, and reasons. What can we do about it? Don’t blame yourself, take the lessons, move on, and accept it. We cannot change people, but we can try to control what we can, which is your protect yourself and learn from the experiences. Life is so beautiful to feel that you’re not enough, just because somebody treated you less than what you deserve.

  • Ep. 54: #CEOTalks Rizza of Lana and Mink

We are so happy to share our new series on the podcast where we will be bringing in CEOs from many parts of the world to tell their story on they built their companies and businesses. First guest is Rizza, someone I really look up to in my life. She helped and comforted me through the pandemic by constantly reminding me that I will be okay and I will survive all the challenges. There are not many people who can relate to my business stories but I am grateful to have met great entrepreneurs who made my own journey all the more enriching by just talking to them.

  • Ep. 53: Is Travel Coming Back Soon?

Many things were taken away from during the pandemic, jobs, loved ones, freedom, socializing, and travel. I can spend literally an hour listing down everything I’ve lost in the past two years. I travel for a living, and I help people travel too — this has been in my DNA since I was a teenager. I want to tell you and I want you to be hopeful that traveling and exploring the world is slowly coming back. Little by little things are returning back to normal in Europe, the US, and some other parts of the world, and I know it’s just a matter of time when we can traverse countries like the Philippines, Thailand, Myanmar again. I know it’s frustrating, and some days we don’t have patience anymore, but trust me better days are coming when we will #MeetTheWorld again. • Ep. 52: How to Embrace a Healthy Lifestyle

Health is not a destination, but a lifestyle pursued with intent — and making mistakes is all part of the journey. Always remember to not compare yourself with anyone because we are all different, what works for me won’t always work for you, and vice versa. Making yourself your # 1 priority is the key to keep pushing for greater things and staying young at heart. Nobody will do it for you but you. Your body is your first home, so make sure to take care of it as much as you can. Because when you are committed to self-improvement and progress, everything else follows in life. Patience, commitment, and determination will always take you to the place you deserve. Things that are meant to last do not come easy in life. You can do it!

  • Ep. 51: My Top 10 Entrepreneurial Lessons

In my opinion, business is hard and it takes someone really tough to make it. It can be very toxic, exhausting, and lonely. And just like any other profession, you just don’t sit on a fancy chair and sign checks like how it is shown and sugarcoated in our society. Being a CEO of your company also has its downsides and rewards — if there is one thing I am very proud to talk about all the time is how I started from nothing and how great it feels to build something on your own all the way up. I am far from perfect, I have lost many people and great opportunities on this journey, including myself. Everything I’ve been through gave me meaning to keep going and to keep progressing no matter how difficult the challenges. I learned to trust myself more, while working continuously on my mistakes, believing in myself, and creating more things to inspire and to make people happy in ways possible.

  • Ep. 50: How to Start 2022 Strong

2022 is here and I still cannot believe that we made it this far together. It’s a fresh start all over again, and despite all the challenges we always show up with strength and courage. So many hopes and dreams this year, and before we start the year I want to share the practices I personally have. I do believe that we should never just wait for the new year to do something new, because every single day we have the capability to be inspired, to restart, and to leave things behind. This year I want to do things that I should have before. I hope you start strong, this year is going to be another tough battle of its own. The pandemic is here to stay, the only thing we can do is to adapt to never ending changes in life. Yes it can be frustrating, but remember that we don’t have control in the situation but we do have control on how we take it on.

Happy New Year Everyone! Let’s face the year together with a grateful heart.

  • Ep. 49: 2021 Life Lessons

2021 damaged us so much but it definitely made us stronger. As the pandemic started in 2020, we were just learning and navigating how to live the “new normal” — but 2021 was the hardest as we had to pick ourselves back up and start all over again. I must say that this year was so hard for me, I’ve outgrown people, things, and even my home country. I took the biggest leap of faith, packed my things, and moved to Spain. I know we all made our own major adjustments, and if there's anything to take it's that we should be proud ourselves and of all the progress we’ve been making together. Life is probably not going to be easier in 2022, but this time we know we are prepared come what may. We are now more resilient, patient, and stronger than ever. So no matter what happens next year, always remember that life is happening for you and not to you. You got this!

  • Ep. 48: Finding Your Truth with Rica Peralejo

What is the your truth? Reality for me is that being true to ourselves is what help us define what our truth is. It has many definitions for people, my truth in life could be completely different from yours, and that one of the things that makes life an amazing mystery. There is no definite decision, path and truth to follow — we will change along the way, but what should never change is our pursuit to find our truth. There will be days when it’s going to be hard to accept yourself, but there will also be days when you will thank yourself for not giving up. Believe that no matter the changes, challenges and hardships we face in life, we can always choose to be good, to pursue our truth, and to fully accept who you are becoming along the journey.
