  • IRONMAN COZUMEL 2021 RECAP
My second full distance Iron Man. Going to this race I was not fully prepared physically. However, I was prepared mentally. These long-endurance triathlon races are just as much mental as they are physical and the mental fortitude that I have been cultivating over the last five years allowed me to finish this race in a record time. There have been many challenges and setbacks along the way but staying mentally strong is the foundation for consistently making progress forward.
In this video, I recap how The race went for me. Even though it wasn’t pretty and I did have moments of weakness I remained composed and finished strong! Very very proud of my time I’m glad that it’s over, time to start training for the next one, here we go!

  • GUY WINCH - EMOTIONAL HEALTH IS JUST AS IMPORTANT AS PHYSICAL HEALTH
My guest on today's podcast is Author and Psychologist, Guy Winch a leading advocate for integrating the science of emotional health into our daily lives. As he talks about in the episode, we've all been taught how to look after our physical health and know what to do immediately if we were to injure ourselves physically, but what do we do when we are injured emotionally? Basically nothing. Emotional experiences like rejection, failure, heartbreak, and loneliness can deeply wound us leaving a lifetime of lasting effects. We were never really taught from a young age how to care for our emotional health like we do our physical health and that's what Guy feels we need to be doing more of. Caring for our emotional health is just as important as caring for our physical health.  It was a real privilege to speak to Guy, I hope this episode gives you something to think about regarding looking after yourself emotionally... For more information on Guy see below.
Guy has authored of a number of books that you can find on his website: guywinch.com

  • How to cultivate strong emotional intelligence with Britt Frank
I sat down with Britt Frank, psychotherapist and we had a great chat about emotional intelligence. Talking to therapists and getting their opinion and advice on mental health has sort of become a hobby of mine. I love having conversations like this with experts. A large part of strong mental health and wellbeing is being able to properly apply preventative practices to your life and this is what I teach. A strong sense of emotional intelligence is the first step, this conversation will help you cultivate that. Being able to acknowledge how we feel and watch our thoughts is very important for well-being, peace and joy- learn how you can be better by watching this video.
We also dove deep into the difference between spirituality and religion, seem like we both had a lot in common! Thank you so much Britt for your time and for your knowledge.

  • How to end the year strong
At the beginning of the year we all set our goals and create a plan towards achieving these goals. We might start off strong and build momentum in pursuit of the commitments that we made to ourselves but by spring time our confidence seems to fade. Setting New Years resolutions and devising a plan to “finally get in shape” or “start that business” to eventually “crush this next year” is just that - an “eventual” plan. This podcast is a push of encouragement so you can end the year strong! Now I’m not implying that making a New Years Resolution is a facade or a bad thing, I’m just saying that we can also create an end of year resolution - and now is your opportunity. You got 60 days left.
