Anna Rodin is an author, a yoga teacher, and a college student. At just 21 years old, she has taken a nontraditional approach to life between going abroad at 18 to Italy, taking a semester off later on to get her yoga teacher certification, transferring schools, and now writing and publishing a book.
Mental health has played an enormous role in her life and self love journey. Uncovering old wounds and facing old traumas, mostly from childhood, has been an extremely painful but important experience that she believes everyone would benefit from, especially in their twenties.
She speaks on mental health and wellness for people in their twenties, as well as wellness and health in general in terms of the role it plays in each of our individual lives.

There’s something beautiful about climbing a mountain alone in the dark. Stars shining bright, only to reach the summit at sunrise.
You look over the ridge at 10,064 ft, watching the world wake. The sky turns color, from black, to shades of orange, and finally blue. You are the only human on top.
“Were you afraid?”
“Yes. For the first 15 minutes.”
But then you realize that your fear is in your head. You’ve climbed this mountain time and time again.
You see, it's still the same mountain, just under a different sky.
You tell yourself, “I wasn’t afraid climbing in daylight. So why be afraid in the dark? Trust yourself.”
This mountain taught me to stop wrapping experiences in fear and worry, and instead, to wrap them in courage and bravery.
Do hard things.
Because every hard thing will remind you how capable that you are of doing every other hard thing standing in your way.
Every single day ask yourself, “What is important to me?” Define those things that are important to you and bring more of that into your life, while you are also letting go of the things that don't really mean a hill of beans.
To live is to make those hard choices and decisions and actions moving forth that perhaps others wouldn't make. But it really doesn't matter because you're living this life for you and according to who you are.

From 2019-2021, she flew as the only female pilot for the Air Force Thunderbirds and performed for millions across the country and internationally. Michelle was also named the Distinguished Alumna of the Year by the University of St. Thomas in 2021. She has inspired thousands through her passion for breaking barriers and setting the example of what can be accomplished through handwork.
When Michelle isn’t speaking, she volunteers as part of the Veteran’s Outdoor Advocacy Group, spends time with her stepson and husband rock climbing, and pursues her mountaineering goals. Michelle and her family enjoy their home city of Las Vegas as a hub to adventure from.
