Living On Mission | Steve Weatherford

In this episode of The Steve Weatherford Show, Steve sits down with Michael Rutherford to unpack one of the most powerful transformation stories to come through Launch Pad. Michael shares how he once had the appearance of success — money, status, business wins, and the ability to do whatever he wanted — yet underneath it all, his life was unraveling. He opens up about being lukewarm in his faith, carrying shame, addiction, self-hatred, brokenness, and eventually reaching a point where everything he thought gave him identity began to collapse.

His story takes a dramatic turn when he walks into men's prayer, breaks down in front of the room, gives his life fully to Jesus, and immediately asks to be baptized — even saying, "Find a river, find a pool, find a toilet." This episode is valuable because it shows what true surrender can look like when a man stops trying to fix his life in his own strength and finally lets God take over. Michael's testimony is raw, emotional, convicting, and hopeful — especially for men who feel disqualified by their past, trapped by shame, or defined by what they can provide. From losing money and identity, to battling suicidal thoughts, to finding freedom, baptism, brotherhood, and renewed purpose, Michael's story is a reminder that God can use the very places of brokenness we thought made us unusable. This is not just a story about hitting rock bottom; it is a story about resurrection, obedience, and what can happen when a man fully surrenders to Jesus.

In this powerful episode of The Steve Weatherford Show, Steve sits down with David Sanchez and Brian Williams for a raw, deeply moving conversation about testimony, brotherhood, healing, and the supernatural way God connects men for purpose. Brian shares how hearing Steve's testimony on a podcast while driving a Mac truck through the Rocky Mountains led him to pull over on the side of I-70 and give his life to Christ. From there, his story unfolds into a journey of surrender, freedom, and transformation — from brokenness, shame, addiction, depression, anxiety, and father wounds into a life marked by faith, leadership, and spiritual activation.

David also opens up about the deep wounds of his past, including childhood trauma, the pain of broken family relationships, and the healing God has brought through true biblical friendship. Together, David and Brian share how a simple connection through Steve became a divine brotherhood that changed both of their lives. This episode is about far more than friendship — it is about what happens when men stop hiding, start confessing, pursue Jesus together, and allow God to redeem even the most painful parts of their story. It is a testimony of freedom, accountability, restoration, and the kind of brotherhood every man was created to walk in. Link to support

In this episode, Steve sits down with Cole Taylor, a Christ-following entrepreneur, coach, former pastor, endurance athlete, and business builder who is passionate about helping leaders grow in faith, fitness, finances, and personal vision. Cole shares his journey from being a former football player who "wasn't a runner" to completing a 100-mile ultramarathon, and how that experience reshaped the way he thinks about identity, discipline, discomfort, leadership, and long-term success.

This conversation goes far deeper than performance or business strategy. Cole opens up about trauma, losing both parents, the pressure to earn love, anxiety attacks, success that almost destroyed him, and how God began rewiring his identity from striving for worth to living as a loved child of God. The value of this episode is in its raw honesty: it challenges men, leaders, entrepreneurs, and believers to stop chasing achievement as a substitute for healing and to build a life rooted in identity, endurance, mentorship, and obedience to God.

In this podcast, my friend Blake Prime shares how the 16-year business he built eventually became an idol that pulled him away from God, his wife, and his kids. From the outside, everything looked successful — a thriving fitness company, influence in the church, and a strong social media presence.

But behind the scenes, Blake felt like a fraud. Everything changed during a mission trip to Honduras when he felt God clearly tell him to walk away from the business he had built for over a decade. Ironically, Blake first came to Steve Weatherford's Launchpad event just to see if Steve was legit — and to learn his system so he could use it himself. Instead, God used that moment to completely transform his life. In this conversation, Blake and Steve talk about success becoming an idol, the hidden struggles many men carry, and how humility, brotherhood, and surrender can lead to true freedom and restored families.
