Los Angeles Angels general manager Perry Minasian met with the media on Friday and took questions about the Halos' offseason plans, moving forward without Shohei Ohtani, and what were the details behind Ohtani's camp coming back with a chance to match the Dodgers' offer, and, well, Perry said a whole lot of nothing. It felt par for the course when it comes to Angels discourse, but, are we all that surprised? Mike and jon share if they're frustrated with how it went, or if there is a brighter side to the story in segment 1!

Then, the narrative around the Angels is that they failed to get Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani to the playoffs, and we're asking, is that entirely true? We've got the details about their playing time together, in addition to Anthony Rendon's, and if that changes the narrative at all, or if this is truly a colossal failure in segment 2!

Plus, Baseball America released a projected 2027 lineup for the Angels, which included familiar names like Logan O'Hoppe, Mike Trout, and Zach Neto, but also up-and-coming faces like Caden Dana, Nelson Rada, and Denzar Guzman! How do the Super Halo Bros. feel about this potential lineup? We'll tell you in segment 3!

Los Angeles Angels fans are waiting for their favorite team to make a move, but the discourse around the team this week has been about its unwillingness to address and pay for the areas that matter. It was recently reported that the Angels were unwilling to match the desired contract for Clint Hurdle, former Rockies and Pirates manager, to come be the Halos' bench coach in 2024, and while not getting a bench coach isn't the end of the world, it is a symptom of a much larger issue with the organization. Mike and Jon explain the situation in segment 1!

Then, what sort of promises or expectations were given to Ron Washington when he interviewed with Perry Minasian and Arte Moreno? Did they promise him a competitive team, or something else? Mike and Jon discuss what sort of expectations Wash might've had coming in as the Angels manager and whether or not he will be able to make something of this team next season in segment 2!

Plus, where has Perry Minasian been throughout this week and the Shohei Ohtani ordeal? Is he working behind the scenes, or have the Halos been laying low and waiting to make moves once the Ohtani cloud has been lifted? The Super Halo Bros. discuss what Perry's absence might mean in segment 3.

It's been quite a week for Los Angeles Angels fans, and before the Shohei Ohtani news broke, Halo fans were bummed to hear that Max Stassi and David Fletcher, two fan favorites, were moved to the Atlanta Braves and received Evan White and a relief pitcher in return. While it's sad to see players you've long rooted for go, what was the logic behind this move? Mike and Jon break down the trade, how the Angels might make the most of it, and what it means for the team moving forward in segment 1!

Then, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic that the Angels lineup was "pretty much set." So, how does that have the Super Halo Bros. feeling? Is this potential lineup worth running out in 2024? Are there additions to be made, or is this a chance for the Angels to see what they have on hand? We'll get into all of it in segment 2!

Plus, what about this starting rotation? As we went over last week, the Angels have some starting-pitching targets that they've been linked to, but if most of the starters have one year left on their contract, is that worth the move, or will the Angels look to extend any potential trade candidates? We'll ask the question as we did about the hitting; is it worth it for the Angels to see what they have with the starters already on the team? Let's talk about it in segment 3!

The Los Angeles Angels have the potential to sign an electric starter to a long-term deal in Yoshinobu Yamamoto, but will they do what it takes to get it done? Mike and Jon share why the Halos should strongly consider adding Yamamoto, who could ensure a frontline starter for 8-10 years, but they aren't confident that the Angels will do so. Would adding Shohei Ohtani incentivize Yamamoto to want to come to Anaheim? The Super Halo Bros. explore the idea as well as a few of the other names the Angels are tied to via the trade market, and we'll cover it all in segment 1!

Then, the Angels have added a few more pieces to the bullpen, two arms in Luis Garcia and Adam Cimber that add some variety to their relief staff. We'll give you a breakdown of these two, and we'll discuss how the Angels need to do much more to make this bullpen strong for 2024.

Plus, the Halos got some additional pieces from the minor league Rule 5 Draft as well as some minor-league depth in Willie Calhoun and Travis MacGregor. We'll give you all the info in segment 3!

Get ready for a RANT! Shohei Ohtani's free agency has really shown the ugly side of baseball media, as reporters and talking heads everywhere are angry about the secrecy surrounding which teams he's met with and the request to keep meetings private. For the Los Angeles Angels, they've adhered to Ohtani's supposed request very well, while Dave Roberts, Dodgers manager, made mention of meeting with Ohtani a few days ago. That's when the issues of secrecy became slights at Shohei from many members of the baseball media. So, in segment 1, buckle up, bozos, because Mike and Jon don't hold back about the entitlement, the media comments, and the crybabies who are trying to make Shohei Ohtani out to be a villain.

Then, Angels GM Perry Minasian confirmed that Mike Trout will not be traded before 2024. Manager Ron Washington has high hopes for Trout this season, and we look ahead to what Wash hopes to bring out of Trout in terms of leading this club and the guidance he can bring in segment 2!

Plus, the Angels will pick 8th in the upcoming MLB Draft in June of 2024, so the Super Halo Bros. take a look at a few mock drafts to see who they could potentially take in the highest draft pick they've had since Troy Glaus! Is an ace pitcher the way to go, or will there be an enticing position player option? We'll cover it all in segment 3!

Los Angeles Angels manager Ron Washington met with the media on Monday in Nashville where the Winter Meetings are taking place, and one of his comments regarding Shohei Ohtani's free agency watch raised all kinds of alarm bells for Halo fans: “I don’t have much to say about that yet, because I don’t want to let anything out of the bag.” So, what did he mean by that, as he smiled coyly at the camera? It's time to SPECULATE WILDLY about what's in the bag in segment 1!

Then, given what happened with Wash yesterday afternoon, Angel fans were no doubt excited about the comment, though they did raise concerns about the Angels' ability to be competitive if they are paying Shohei Ohtani a really high salary each year. So, the Super Halo Bros. are addressing these concerns, not to say that they're right or wrong, but to demonstrate how things could be different for the Halos this time around. Will Arte Moreno continue to do "Arte" things with the payroll? Can this team be competitive in 2024, and should they be? We'll address the concerns in segment 2!

Plus, how will this team be any different if they re-sign Shohei Ohtani? Will they just be repeating the same mistakes as the last 6 years while they had the Unicorn? Mike and Jon recap how the last 6 years have gone, and why things will be different if Ohtani decides to return to Anaheim!
