As MLB prepares to have an Economic Reform Committee address payroll disparity between baseball teams, we're discussing if and how it might influence the Los Angeles Angels' approach to building a team in the future. In segment 1, we'll get you up to speed with the Economic Reform Committee and what problem it is addressing, and we'll ask, is the disparity in MLB an owner problem or a revenue problem?

Then, in segment 2, we'll share what the committee is working toward and what its goals are, consider what options are realistic, and if MLB will land on a salary cap or a salary floor.

Plus, how will the results of the committee impact the Angels? If there were to be a salary cap or salary floor, what would be the most beneficial to the Halos, and how would Arte Moreno go about the business of baseball? Get our thoughts on the matter in segment 3!

The Los Angeles Angels have some exciting young talent in their system, some who might be the future of the Halos, and some who may even make an appearance on the big league club in 2023! Today on Locked On Angels, we're here with Locked On MLB Prospects host Lindsay Crosby! The resident prospect guru of the Locked On Podcast Network shares his insight into some of the biggest minor league names, like Logan O'Hoppe, Zach Neto, Sam Bachman, and Ben Joyce! In segment 1, we discuss Edgar Quero's path to the bigs, Ben Joyce and his electric arm, and whether or not we could see Bachman in the pen with the Angels this season!

Then, now that we've had the chance to witness Zach Neto in Spring Training, how far away is he from being on the big-league roster? Lindsay shares his perspective on Neto's chances, and we talk about that leg kick at the plate! Will it stick around as Neto continues his journey to the bigs?

Plus, we can't talk Angels prospects without talking about Logan O'Hoppe! Lindsay shared on his show that he believes O'Hoppe will be on the Halos out of camp, and we ask whether or not having a rookie catcher is a risk for a team looking to make the playoffs. Does O'Hoppe have what it takes according to Lindsay? Find out in segment 3!

Be sure to check out Locked On MLB Prospects and follow Lindsay on Twitter @CrosbyBaseball and follow his show @LockedOnFarm!

The Los Angeles Angels are hoping to have a healthy and productive season out of Anthony Rendon! Today, the Super Halo Bros. discuss if Anthony Rendon's success is a key factor to the Halos having a successful 2023 campaign. We'll give you the stats and share how having Rendon on the field will make a big difference this season!

Then, last week while talking to the media, Anthony Rendon shared some thoughts about missing the last two seasons with surgeries and what it means for him to be back on the field. He spoke about his future and having a healthy life after baseball, and the comments seemed to strike stark reactions in Angel fans. Mike and Jon share their perspective and thoughts on Rendon's comments in segment 2!

Plus, what's the best way to watch Spring Training? No, not what subscription or cable service you need to watch; we're talking about how to get the most out of watching our Halos, both the superstars and the up-and-coming players! While it's not about the wins and losses at the end of the game, it's about the wins that players can take away from their performance and concerns over who still needs to work out some issues before the season starts. We'll talk all about it in segment 3!

It's time to talk Los Angeles Angels baseball once again! No more what ifs or what could be; the Halos are on the field playing games once again, and we're seeing firsthand what this team is capable of in 2023. A couple of great starts on the mound from Tucker Davidson and Reid Detmers, Taylor Ward, Mike Trout, Shohei Ohtani, Anthony Rendon, and Hunter Renfroe giving us a reason to be excited about the offense, and seeing future Angels like Ben Joyce, Sam Bachman, and many more make an impact on the mound and in the field is getting the Super Halo Bros. HYPED for 2023! We'll share all our thoughts, notes, and observations from the first two days of Spring Training in segment 1!

Then, it's time to talk about the pitch clock! A lot has been said this weekend regarding the new pace-of-play rules in MLB, and Mike and Jon share their observations about the Angels and their response to the pitch clock. Who on the team will it affect the most, and what if a game comes down to a pitch clock violation this season? Let's talk about it in segment 2!

Plus, Jon's favorite Angel, Jered Weaver, told the Angels "TFTI!" While the ace pitcher was disappointed he wasn't invited to Spring Training alongside some of the Halo greats of the past, Phil Nevin offered his explanation about why some players received an invite and some did not. Does Weaver have a point, or is Phil Nevin sticking to a game plan for the 2023 team? We'll discuss in segment 3!

The Los Angeles Angels have a potential AL Rookie of the Year candidate on their hands in Logan O'Hoppe, a veteran catcher in Max Stassi, and someone who has yet to live up to their #1 draft pick potential in Matt Thaiss. Who's going to break camp as the Halos' catcher for 2023? Today on Locked On Angels, we'll take you through the options and provide a bit of background on each one, and we'll consider why they're in the running for the starting catcher spot in 2023. First, we'll get to know Logan O'Hoppe and what the experts have said about him and his potential for making an impact in the Majors this season!

Then, we'll discuss someone Angel fans are very familiar with in Max Stassi. While he was impressive both offensively and defensively since 2020, both qualities seemed to fall off in 2022. Can Stassi get back to being a productive catcher at the plate and behind the dish in 2023? We'll talk about it in segment 2!

Plus, what other options remain at catcher for the Halos? Of course, Matt Thaiss, a former number-one draft pick of the Angels, has never really seemed to break through and live up to his potential, and Mike has a suspicion as to why that may be the case. We'll talk about Thaiss and the other catchers the Halos could see in the Majors in segment 3!

The Los Angeles Angels are gearing up for Spring Training, and there's been a lot of chatter out in Tempe, specifically from the players. As the media has met with our beloved Halos, we've heard quotes from the likes of Mike Trout, Shohei Ohtani, Taylor Ward, Griffin Canning, and even... Rob Manfred?! Today on Locked On Angels, we're playing a game of "Who Said That?", sharing the players' quotes with you and our thoughts on what they had to say. In segment 1, we'll share the quotes regarding Shohei Ohtani's future with the Halos and what was said by his teammates as well.

Then, we have several players working their way back and hoping for healthy seasons in 2023. Which players are putting in the time and energy to get back on the field and be healthy once again? We'll share their quotes and our responses in segment 2.

Plus, we even heard from MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred, and something he said really irked us, and something else he said actually gave us hope for watching the Angels on TV in 2023. We'll give you both quotes and our thoughts in segment 3!

The Los Angeles Angels shore up their bullpen and find the bullpen lefty they've been wanting to add in Matt Moore! The veteran pitcher played exclusively out of the bullpen for the Texas Rangers in 2022, pivoting away from starting and solely pitching in relief. In segment 1, we'll talk about Moore's stats and the QOPA, the "quality of pitch average", and why he was so effective in 2022.

Then, we'll share how Moore made his improvements from 2021 to 2022, analyzing how his curveball changed and why it helped him to become a better pitcher. We'll also discuss how he, Jose Quijada, and Aaron Loup, the three lefties in the bullpen, will figure to be used in 2023!

Plus, now that we have a better idea of what the bullpen will look like this season, what options will the Halos have to run out there in the late innings? We'll discuss who will be certainties in the pen, and who on the 40-man roster could contribute to the Angels' success!

The Los Angeles Angels begin Spring Training games in less than a week! Before we get going on the field, we're answering YOUR questions on today's Mailbag Monday edition of Locked On Angels! You asked about the potential Manny Machado being available after this season and if it would be a viable option for the Halos, if the bullpen will improve with bounce-back seasons from Ryan Tepera and Aaron Loup, and, given the state of the relationship between Corbin Burnes and the Brewers, would a trade be possible? Plus, we discuss Shohei Ohtani's somewhat evasive comments from his Spring Training press conference about an extension, and how to watch the Angels in 2023 if Bally Sports West doesn't carry the games due to their bankruptcy.
