The Colorado Avalanche beat the Chicago Blackhawks, 3-0, Monday night to win every game on their six game homestand. Nathan MacKinnon also reached a personal milestone of getting his 1,000th career point in the process.

Scott Wedgewood got another shutout as a member of the Avs as he came up with some incredible saves to keep the Hawks off the scoreboard. No time to celebrate as the Avs turn around and play right away in Minnesota Tuesday night against the Wild.

The Condor has returned! In a move that won't send shockwaves through anyone expect the Colorado Avalanche faithful, Erik Johnson is coming back to Denver.

In what is more than anything a locker room deal, one of the most beloved Avs ever will join the club for another playoff run. How can you not be happy about that.

Three down, three to go on the Colorado Avalanche six game homestand.

The Avs found a way to get past the Pittsburgh Penguins, 4-1, with the help of a timely Casey Mittelstad goal, two more from Artturi Lehkonen and two empty netters. Add in some stellar goaltending by Scott Wedgewood and it's two points in the standings.

Was it their most polished game? Far from it. But maybe the Avalanche are getting back to their finding ways to win ways.

Colorado Avalanche GM Chris MacFarland meet the media Monday afternoon to discuss a series of topics. The main ones being the newly acquired Avs in the trade with the New York Rangers.
