You waited for it, you got it! It's time to talk Blue Jays with Scotty!
Now that the task of dealing with the Astros is done, A.J. Andrews and Sportsnet's Scott MacArthur dive into some Blue Jays discussion! The pair breakdown the position battles of the spring, with Rowdy Tellez attempting to hold off Travis Shaw, and what the heck is going on in the outfield! Also, Joe Panik makes the first of what will hopefully be many pun-related debuts! And following yesterday's Vlad Jr. dissertation, today's League Commish Fantasy Minute focuses on shortstop Bo Bichette!

We promised we would go big. We're not disappointing.
Friend of the show Scott MacArthur from Sportsnet and Sportsnet 590 joins A.J. Andrews for the first of a trilogy of episodes leading up to the big 300! In this episode the two discuss the ongoing Astros controversy, what Rob Manfred continues to do about it, and how the players are going to react when they hit the field. Plus the second League Commish Fantasy Minute!

Going through the stages of grief here, but someone else is getting the anger.
A.J. Andrews begins the podcast by remembering the life of Tony Fernández. She affirms what she said on the Feb. 2 episode and hopes that he is able to keep playing baseball somewhere. Then, the first installment of the League Commish Fantasy Minute brings you some Danny Jansen talk!
The second half is dedicated to Rob Manfred, who sounded downright foolish when discussing the Astros scandal and brushing off what it meant in the game. Andrews details just what kind of damage the "Commish" is overlooking and how if unchecked, it will lead to an untenable situation for MLB.

Do you feel that, Blue Jays fans? Yup, it's still February, so you should probably put that coat back on.
It's a special Valentine's Day edition of Blue Jays Fan Friday, and host A.J. Andrews has your Valentines ready to be shared with the Jays figures that earned those hearts! Also, discuss of the news from spring training that Ryan Borucki's arm still isn't 100% and that Randal Grichuk will be Toronto's everyday center fielder! These are news items that need to be discussed.

Well, we found something as dumb as Reese McGuire...
MLB announced its rule changes for 2020, and A.J. Andrews has problems with them! Shock! After taking a brief moment to shake her darn head at Pee Wee Reese, she outlines how the proposed alterations will not work, specifically the three-batter minimum rule. In fact, Andrews does her part to help managers in the league by telling them exactly how they get around the rule! It's so easy!
After a short moment of disbelief where she has to agree with stuff that Trevor Bauer says, Andrews then decides to tear into the other rule changes, that she has less problems with, but she still manages to disagree with one rule change she actually likes!

Sometimes we have to get serious here on the podcast.
A.J. Andrews takes the first half of this episode to talk not about baseball, but Heat legend Dwyane Wade's interview on Ellen and how his daughter Zaya came out to him as a girl. The transgender podcaster reflects on how media coverage is important but can be done incorrectly in these matters, what the real meaning of the story is, and the crucial misstep that D-Wade made in discussing his daughter's story on national TV.
Since this is a Blue Jays podcast, she also talks about Dave Hudgens' comments to the media about the Astros scandal and the one thing that is unsettling her about the bench coach's remarks.

C'mon. Couldn't not use that line. It writes itself.
It's a banner week here on the podcast as A.J. Andrews gets to talk about another one of her favorite subjects: the genitals of Blue Jays players! Specifically Reese McGuire's genitals as the Toronto catcher was arrested for exposing himself in an SUV in Dunedin. Andrews treads lightly, given the lack of information about the situation, and the incredible vagueness of Florida's indecent exposure laws, but she does her best to not go nuts about things. She also compares the situation to Auston Matthews' Arizona moon the previous summer, and whether or not that will dictate any possible suspension for McGuire.
Also, the podcast she planned to do, taking about Kevin Pillar signing with the Red Sox and Eric Pardinho's Tommy John surgery, that happens too.

We stan a man who takes on the Astros here on the podcast!
A.J. Andrews spends her Monday talking about one of her favorite subjects: lawsuits! Former Blue Jays pitcher Mike Bolsinger has filed a civil suit against the Astros for $31 million to be distrubted to charities and to establish a former player's fund, and A.J. details how it can very quickly turn into a class-action suit. Get in on this Matt Dermody.
She follows up with a brief farewell for Breyvic Valera and a sadder wave goodbye to Jarlin Garcia, who was officially claimed by the Giants. Plus, Aaron Loup has a contract!

Can you feel it? Fan Friday is back!
A.J. Andrews discusses the Blue Jays offseason with the help of the fans! She also determines whether or not new minor-league signings Jake Petricka (welcome back!) and Brian Moran (welcome back, but much less so given he was a Blue Jay for four hours in 2013) have a chance of appearing for the big-league club in 2020. Finally, she goes over the non-roster spring training invitees, headlined by Nate Pearson.

Who is Gil Kim? We got some answers here on the podcast!
A.J. Andrews discusses the newest member of the Blue Jays' clubhouse staff and what exactly Gil Kim brings to the table in his current role and new designation. Andrews believes this is a move made to continue the growth seen in the players, and the staff since Kim was hired in 2016. She also discusses an article from Sportsnet's Shi Davidi regarding the similarities between the 2018 Blue Jays and 2020 Red Sox and how financial positioning and roster makeup led to very different decisions from either side on how to handle their star players.
