Everything is in the Browns favor to come out of Christmas Eve with a victory over the Saints. The Saints added two more players on offense to injured reserve and rookie wide receiver Chris Olave will also be out of this game with a hamstring injury. Ethan Pocic will return after missing the last four games. Nick Chubb returned to practice and will play Saturday. With the weather being such a factor it plays in to the Browns strength, their running game. It also puts the Saints in a tough spot, their inability to run the ball. We've got your betting lines covered, your three bold predictions and final score predictions.

The Browns Depth at Running Back Will Allow Them to Move The Ball Without Nick Chubb. In this video, we answer the question: If Nick Chubb can't go against the New Orleans Saints, who will fill his shoes? We look at all the latest Cleveland Browns news, including news on Deshaun Watson and the injury to Nick Chubb. We also discuss the Saints news and who might replace Nick Chubb on the field. Make sure to subscribe to our channel for more sports content! Head coach Kevin Stefanski gave a two-word answer yesterday when he was asked if the Cleveland Browns would have running back Nick Chubb available against the New Orleans Saints on Christmas Eve: “Hope so.”
And now after missing his second practice in a row today, there is reason to be concerned about the status of Chubb, who is rehabbing through a foot injury. If he is not good to go, Kareem Hunt will step in for a great deal of the workload, with either Jerome Ford or D’Ernest Johnson serving in relief. Saints Must Halt Browns in Old-Fashioned Week 16 Battle. The Saints performance against the run is the most surprisingly disappointing aspect of their game in 2022. Their slim postseason hopes depend on whether they can reverse that trend in Week 16 at Cleveland. A 5-9 New Orleans Saints team heads north to face the 6-8 Cleveland Browns on Christmas Eve. The Saints can still win the NFC South, but need a win here to keep any realistic hopes alive.
New Orleans was expected to have one of the NFL's best defenses in 2022. They've had their moments, especially over the last month, but have also suffered crucial breakdowns in key situations. The Saints rank 11th in total defense, giving up an average of 327.6 yards per game. However, they rank last in turnovers forced (10) and have struggled on third downs. Most concerning is the failures of a run defense that dominated opponents from 2018 through 2021. They'll take on a physical Cleveland team that got QB Deshaun Watson back from suspension three weeks ago. The Browns average 362.6 total yards per game, ranking 8th in the league. While their passing attack has been erratic, they've had one of the NFL's most consistent ground games. Inclement weather is expected for the game, likely increasing the importance of the running game. The Saints performance against the run is the most surprisingly disappointing aspect of their game in 2022. Can they reverse that trend to keep slim postseason hopes alive?

Cleveland weather forecast calls for wind and snow in upcoming Saints-Browns game The weather forecast for the upcoming New Orleans Saints-Cleveland Browns game on Christmas Eve calls for wind and snow, with a high temperature of just 15 degrees. Weather.com’s 10-day forecast describes the expected conditions as “Windy with occasional snow showers. High near 15 Fahrenheit. Winds (southwest) at 25 to 40 (miles per hour). Chance of snow 50%. 1 to 3 inches of snow expected. Higher wind gusts possible.”
FirstEnergy Stadium is oriented east-to-west, so while specialists won’t be kicking into the wind there should be a cross-breeze that may push kicks awry. We should also expect both teams to lean heavily on their run game. The Browns have one of the NFL’s best running backs in Nick Chubb (who is averaging 5.0 yards per carry and 89.4 rushing yards per game this season), and the Saints are asking Alvin Kamara to handle the second-highest average of rushing attempts per game (13.7) of his career. Neither squad has thrown the ball effectively this year. Cleveland welcomed Deshaun Watson into the lineup three weeks ago, but he’s clocking just 189.3 passing yards per game while throwing as many touchdown passes as interceptions (2), taking 6 sacks along the way. For comparison, Saints quarterback Andy Dalton is averaging 218.5 passing yards per game this season. Both of these teams want to run the ball and not put the game on their quarterback’s shoulders.
So we’ll see how it works out for them in what’s looking like miserable conditions. The Saints don’t have a great history in cold-weather games (defined as below 32 degrees Fahrenheit), having gone 2-4 since 2006, but they’ve won each of their last two games played below-freezing in the 2013 playoffs (at Philadelphia) and in 2010 (at Cincinnati). If you’re traveling for this game, be sure to grab some hot cocoa.

Find Out Deshaun Watson's PFF Grades Following The Browns Big win vs. Ravens! The Locked On Browns Podcast Is joined by John Kosko of Pro Football Focus. He gives the top grades and his reaction to the Cleveland Browns 13-3 Win over AFC North Division rival Baltimore Ravens.
Watson threw a touchdown pass in his home debut for Cleveland, leading the Browns to an ugly 13-3 win on Saturday over the Baltimore Ravens, who need injured star quarterback Lamar Jackson to get back quickly. In his third game after serving an 11-game NFL suspension for alleged sexual misconduct, Watson wasn't spectacular. But he did enough to help the Browns (6-8) keep their miniscule playoff hopes alive while knocking the Ravens (9-5) off stride. Baltimore had won six of seven. But the loss knocked the Ravens out of first in the AFC North, dropping them a half-game back of Cincinnati pending the Bengals' game at Tampa Bay on Sunday.
Before he left the field, Watson let all his emotions pour out. “It was a lot," Watson said, explaining his feelings at the conclusion. "Just to be able to get my first victory in my first home start, just to get a victory against a tough divisional team. Last week we wanted that one, and it didn’t go our way. “It was me just soaking in the moment and releasing all the energy and the happiness I had in myself. I just wanted yell that and scream that out. I feel like everyone needs that every once in a while.”
Watson, who connected with Donovan Peoples-Jones on a 3-yard TD pass in the third quarter, left FirstEnergy Stadium with a game ball tucked under his right arm. Watson finished 18 of 28 for 161 yards, and added 22 on the ground. He's still not close to playing like a three-time Pro Bowler or franchise QB, but there's no doubt he's getting better every time. “He's trending upward, which we knew he would do,” said Browns star Myles Garrett, w ho had 1 1/2 sacks. “He's a baller.”
Browns rookie Cade York made two field goals — and missed two tries — but outkicked Ravens All-Pro Justin Tucker, the league's most accurate kicker, who missed a 48-yarder and had another attempt blocked by Cleveland defensive tackle Jordan Elliott. Jackson missed his second straight game with a knee injury, and the Ravens aren't the same without his dynamic playmaking ability.
Tyler Huntley, who was only cleared from concussion protocol a few days ago, started again for Jackson but couldn't get Baltimore going. Huntley went 17 of 30 for 138 yards, but threw a critical interception inside Cleveland's 10 in the third. Baltimore's J.K. Dobbins ran for 125 yards, and the Ravens rolled up 198 yards rushing. But forced to throw while playing from behind in the fourth, Huntley couldn't come up with a big play. “We have to just have a better passing game, basically,” coach John Harbaugh said with Huntley sitting nearby. "It’s not a good enough passing game right now across the board to do the things that we’re hoping to do. So, that will be priority one. "Every area can get better at something in certain things, but from an offensive standpoint, that’s something that we have to go to work on, and we will.” After Denzel Ward intercepted Huntley, Watson directed a 91-yard scoring drive, delivering his TD strike to Peoples-Jones with 2:10 left in the third.

Deshaun Watson has finally made his home debut for the Cleveland Browns in an AFC North clash with the Baltimore Ravens. Defense dominated the story early, as neither team found the end zone in the first 30 minutes of action. The second half wasn't much better, but the Browns did take home the dub. Cade York kicked two field goals while Justin Tucker missed an easy one to allow the Browns to take a 6-3 lead into the halftime locker room. Nick Chubb & Kareem Hunt were both held in check in the first half by a ferocious Ravens defense. Watson completed 13/18 passes for 105 yards in the half. He outgained Ravens QB Tyler Huntley. The AFC North-leading Ravens look for the regular season sweep over the Browns in the second game of Saturday's tripleheader (4:30 p.m. ET, NFLN). Baltimore enters Week 15 off two narrow victories -- a 10-9 win over Denver in Week 13 and a 16-14 road win over Pittsburgh last Sunday. In both wins, backup quarterback Tyler Huntley took the majority of snaps under center with Lamar Jackson nursing a knee injury.
Huntley exited midway through the third quarter last week and is currently in the league's concussion protocol. He was able to log a limited session in Baltimore's Tuesday practice, giving him a shot to start on Saturday. Jackson, meanwhile, didn't practice on Tuesday and is trending toward missing his second-straight game. Cleveland's playoff hopes are dwindling, but it's still alive and has a manageable schedule to close out the regular season. The Browns are in must-win mode, and notching a home victory over Baltimore is the first step in potentially sneaking into the postseason. Despite posting a 1-1 record in Deshaun Watson's first two starts, the high-priced QB has underwhelmed through two weeks, posting a 48.3 QBR to go along with a 59.4 completion percentage. It certainly takes time to adjust to playing at game speed, but with zero margin for error, Watson needs to play to the level of his $230 million contract.

Deshaun Watson looked better in his second game under center against the Cincinnati Bengals. But with a loss to Joe Burrow and the Bengals the Browns playoff hopes took a huge hit! We discuss whether or not the Cleveland Browns should play the young guys with the playoffs out of reach. Or should the Browns go with the veterans and give them a chance to end the 2022 season with a winning record of 9-8? We discuss the pros and cons of both options in this episode of the Locked on Browns Podcast!
The Cleveland Browns have been decimated by injuries at the linebacker position this season. After already losing three starters for the season in Anthony Walker Jr., Jacob Phillips, and Sione Takitaki, they could now be on the verge of losing a fourth. Injuring his foot in the loss to the Cincinnati Bengals this weekend, WILL linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah and the Browns are waiting on test results to see just how bad the damage is. For a defensive unit in need of salvaging this off-season as it is, this is less than stellar news for one of their few consistent contributors in 2022.

Joe Burrow did enough offensively, and the Bengals' defense stepped up to end the Browns' recent domination of the Battle of Ohio. Burrow shook off a sloppy start to throw two touchdown passes and Cincinnati beat Cleveland 23-10 on Sunday, ending a five-game skid in the rivalry. “A team win, team ugly win, but we got it done," Burrow said. Cincinnati bottled up Browns running back Nick Chubb, picked off Deshaun Watson and stopped the Browns on three fourth-down plays. “The defense played unbelievable and that really ended up being the deciding factor in the game,” Burrow said. “And so that’s kind of showing the kind of team we’re becoming — we’re able to win in a lot of different ways. You’ve seen it over the last couple of weeks on the defensive end and the offensive end and the kicking game. We’re just a complete team right now.” The Bengals (9-4) have won five straight and nine of 11. They remained tied for the AFC North lead with Baltimore, which beat Pittsburgh 16-14. Burrow picked up his first win in five starts against the Browns (5-8), whose playoff hopes are now all but nonexistent.
Watson was sharper than in his debut with the team last week and threw his first touchdown pass in 707 days, a 13-yarder to David Njoku in the third quarter. But Watson also threw a fourth-quarter interception and couldn't hook up with Donovan Peoples-Jones on a late fourth-and-goal from the 6 that would have made it a one-score game. He turned the ball over downs again on the Browns' last drive when he threw incomplete to Amari Cooper. Watson finished 26 of 42 for 276 yards, and his touchdown pass was the only time the Browns found the end zone. “The game is going to continue to speed up,” Watson said. “Each week is going to get better. Today was another learning lesson. Just need to continue to improve. The progress is always taking one step forward. The biggest ultimate goal is to get the W.” Burrow was 9 for 21 for 110 yards in the first half, including a 15-yard TD to Ja'Marr Chase. In the third quarter, Burrow found Trenton Irwin for an easy 45-yard scoring pass when the Browns bit on a flea-flicker.
Burrow was largely reliant on Chase after his other top receivers, Tyler Boyd and Tee Higgins, left the game with injuries. Chase had 10 receptions for 119 yards in his second game back since missing a month with a hip fracture. The Bengals quarterback finished 18 for 33 for 239 yards and threw a fourth-quarter interception. Joe Mixon, who missed the last two games with a concussion, rushed for 96 yards, including a 40-yard breakaway on a drive that led to a Cincinnati field goal on the first play of the fourth quarter. “In that first quarter, I wasn’t playing very well, I was missing throws,” Burrow said. “I settled in there in the second half of the second quarter, and from there we really moved the ball really well. The run game was good to us. Ja'Marr was incredible like he always is.”
The Cincinnati Bengals took control of this game in the second quarter and beat the Cleveland Browns for the first time in six tries. Offensive spotlight: QB Deshaun Watson didn't look much better than he did last week, completing 26-of-42 attempts for 276 yards and a touchdown and throwing a backbreaking interception late in the game. He gained just 6.6 yards per attempt.
Defensive spotlight: Cincinnati’s defense did a number on the Browns' run game, with D.J. Reader looking back to his best. Browns RB Nick Chubb averaged just 2.4 yards per attempt, and without that foundation, the Browns offense was toothless.
Rookie spotlight: Wide receiver David Bell played 50 snaps for the Browns but caught just three passes for 27 yards. Bell is averaging just 0.8 yards per route run this season, the worst mark among rookie pass-catchers.
Offensive line spotlight: Cleveland put plenty of pressure on Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati offense, but it wasn’t enough. Every member of the Bengals line surrendered some volume of pressure.
