Locked On Browns - Daily Podcast On The Cleveland Browns

A new report from ESPN's Adam Schefter suggests both the Cleveland Browns and New York Giants could pass on quarterbacks at the top of the draft. It could set up a scenario where Cleveland ends up drafting BOTH Colorado stars in the first round.

Meanwhile, another QB option is off the board for the Browns. And team owner Jimmy Haslam raised the stakes on Myles Garrett's being a leader for the franchise, but Spencer German doesn't think he has it in him.

If the Cleveland Browns are going to pass on a quarterback at No. 2 and take the best player available, Travis Hunter is the guy they should go with, NOT Abdul Carter according to Spencer German.

Meanwhile, the Kirk Cousins to Cleveland rumors are really gaining some steam. What does a potential QB room look like with him in it?

Plus an important Jeremiah Owuw-Koramoah update.

After holding a private workout with Shedeur Sanders later this week, the Cleveland Browns aren't expected to hold any additional private sessions with rookie QBs before the draft. That means their QB big board centers around four key names.

Meanwhile, general manager Andrew Berry said he expects the Browns QB room to "skew young" at the annual NFL owner's meetings. Skew young could mean a couple different things for the state of the team's QB situation. Spencer German breaks it all down.

Jimmy Haslam took responsibility for the Cleveland Browns failed trade for Deshaun Watson calling it a big "swing and a miss." Now the organization and fans can move forward into a new era of Browns football.

Another Jimmy Haslam quote from the NFL owner's meetings provided some interesting context to the team's approach to the No. 2 overall pick. General manager Andrew Berry ruled out one option at the top of the draft. Spencer German breaks down everything being said in Florida this week.

As rumors swirl about the Cleveland Browns pursuit of a quarterback, Kirk Cousins was suddenly spotted in Cleveland by fans at multiple fast food restaurants. What does it mean!? Spencer German discusses the coincidence in depth.

Speaking of Cousins, Spencer wonders if he's already part of the Browns quarterback plans and what that means for the team's draft strategy. Plus a no-brainer draft move Andrew Berry should definitely be thinking about.

Later, Spencer picks Danny's brain about what his preferences are when it comes to how the Browns utilize the No. 2 overall pick. And, a major QB rumor had the Browns pursuing Dak Prescott. It's reportedly not true, but the guys discuss where Prescott would fit into a dream QB scenario and why it seems like some people just won't be happy with any quarterback.

Russell Wilson signed with the New York Giants, leaving the Cleveland Browns with even less options on the veteran quarterback market. Spencer German talks about what QBs are left in free agency or via trade, including names like Kirk Cousins and Carson Wentz. Then, while some people argue the Browns shouldn't take a quarterback like Shedeur Sanders with the second pick because there's too much risk involved, Spencer gets blunt about the realities of missing on QBs. Later, he explains which rookie quarterbacks make sense for Cleveland if they do pass on one at No. 2 overall.

After holding his Pro Day this week, it's pretty obvious that Cam Ward will be the No. 1 overall pick by the Tennessee Titans. What's that mean for the Cleveland Browns? Meanwhile, Spencer German has a few problems with the way some people are talking about Shedeur Sanders during this pre draft process. Plus, the Browns can't be held hostage by Kirk Cousins.
