Locked On Browns - Daily Podcast On The Cleveland Browns

The Cleveland Browns tried to land Brandon Aiyuk from the San Francisco 49rs last summer and now they may have an even better chance at pulling it off. Spencer German explains why the state of the 49ers paints an interesting picture of how they feel about Aiyuk.

Meanwhile, Kenny Pickett spoke to the media for the first time on Thursday and seems to understand the Browns plan for the quarterback position.

And, the more Shedeur Sanders talks the more he sounds like a perfect fit for Cleveland.

Russell Wilson is expected to visit with the Cleveland Browns on Thursday and it feels like most of the fan base is out on the team signing him. Spencer German explains why the Browns could do worse than Wilson as a veteran option.

Meanwhile, Cleveland's pursuit of Wilson could be a sign that the Atlanta Falcons aren't budging on Kirk Cousins. If the only way to acquire him is via trade, the Browns should balk. Plus, the Browns haven't made a high volume of moves this offseason but they've taken a very practical approach to their offseason plan.

Follow the show: Locked On NFL – Daily Podcast On The National Football League

The entire NFL is now waiting on Aaron Rodgers to choose between the Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Giants, but the Steelers seem to be the favorites; and they should be. Cooper Kupp was finally released by the Los Angeles Rams and the veteran should have plenty of options as he hits the open market. Joey Bosa joins the Buffalo Bills, but is it enough to take the Bills past the Kansas City Chiefs? Finally, the Indianapolis Colts have their two quarterbacks and who wins the battle will be as interesting to follow as any all offseason.

It's been a mostly quiet offseason for the Cleveland Browns so far, but Spencer German believes a big move is looming later this week or weekend in the form of Kirk Cousins. If he comes to Cleveland though, the Browns can't alter their draft plans for him. Also, Spencer reflects on the moves made so far and gets some insight on newly signed offensive tackle Cornelius Lucas.

Introducing Indianapolis Colts SIGN Daniel Jones & Create Quarterback Controversy with Anthony Richardson from Locked On NFL – Daily Podcast On The National Football League.

Follow the show: Locked On NFL – Daily Podcast On The National Football League

The Indianapolis Colts added Daniel Jones at quarterback on Tuesday and set up a competition with Anthony Richardson that is sure to create controversy as all quarterback battles do. This move also leaves a hole for the Minnesota Vikings who seem to be reluctant to rely to heavily on J.J. McCarthy in his second year. Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson remain on the open market and it seems like a battle between the Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Giants. Finally, we saw a move on the west coast with Najee Harris going to the Los Angeles Chargers

In a stunning move the Cleveland Browns traded for former Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett, but don't worry, Spencer German explains why he won't be the Browns starting quarterback in 2025.

Meanwhile, there are two potential plans Cleveland's brass tired to sell Myles Garrett on, one makes a little more sense than the other, especially after the Pickett trade.

And, the final two names on the Locked on Browns QB Big Board are revealed.

Introducing Sam Darnold to Seattle Seahawks, Justin Fields to New York Jets & Laremy Tunsil TRADED to Commanders from Locked On NFL – Daily Podcast On The National Football League.

Follow the show: Locked On NFL – Daily Podcast On The National Football League

NFL Free Agency went CRAZY on opening day with Sam Darnold heading to the Seattle Seahawks as the headliner. Darnold wasn't the only quarterback to make a move though as Justin Fields took to the big apple to join the New York Jets! Both teams feel entirely different now, but the expectations are the same and they are low. The Washington Commanders are continuing an aggressive offseason with a trade for Laremy Tunsil, but it calls into question what in the world the Houston Texans are doing. Finally, the Chicago Bears and New England Patriots were the most active teams of the day making a number of signings.

With the Myles Garrett trade request now in the rearview mirror, there are questions about whether or not Garrett will be bought in and how forgiving the fan base will be. Spencer German isn't worried about either of those things and expects Garrett to be back playing at a high level, making everything water under the bridge.

Later, two more names are unveiled on the Locked on Browns QB Big Board. Plus you won't find Joe Flacco on the big board for one major reason.

Introducing Las Vegas Raiders TRADE: Geno Smith QB Chaos, Steelers Want Sam Darnold & Josh Allen Monster Deal from Locked On NFL – Daily Podcast On The National Football League.

Follow the show: Locked On NFL – Daily Podcast On The National Football League

NFL Free Agency is HERE and the chaos got started a few days early when the Las Vegas Raiders traded for quarterback Geno Smith! Smith answers the Raiders biggest question, but creates and equally massive one for the Seattle Seahawks, who now turn their attention to Sam Darnold. Darnold will have a bigger market though as the Pittsburgh Steelers also have reported interest in the quarterback. Derek Carr went back to the New Orleans Saints which creates a fight over Justin Fields and Aaron Rodgers. The New York Jets and New York Giants will be players. Josh Allen got a MONSTER extension from the Buffalo Bills. Myles Garrett finally got a resolution with the Cleveland Browns, getting the biggest non-QB deal in NFL history, but the impact his deal has on the NFL is seismic, not just for player payment, but for the NFL Draft as well.
