The Washington Capitals beat the Montreal Canadians in a convincing fashion by the score of 8-4. This was a physical game for the Capitals. Tom Wilson really brought his style of physical game by hitting everyone that was near him

There was some great scoring in this game by the Capitals. There was two goals by Anthony Mantha, one goal by Dimitri Orlov, Nic Dowd, Garnet Hathaway, T.J. Oshie Alex Ovechkin and Justin Schultz.

Vitek Vanecek played well and made 28 saves on 32 shots.

The Capitals now prepare to head out west and play the Colorado Avalanche, Las Vegas Golden Knights and Arizona Coyotes

After a four game winning streak the Washington Capitals lose badly to the Toronto Maple 7-3. The Maple Leafs simply outworked the Capitals. William Nylander,Ilya Mikheyev and Michael Bunting got two goals each for the Maple Leafs. Maple Leafs also got a goal from Ilya Lyubushkin.

The Washington Capitals lacked a physical game except for the fight between Tom Wilson and Kyle Clifford. Tom Wilson was the clear winner of that fight. Scoring for the Capitals was Nic Dowd, John Carlson and Tom Wilson.

The Capitals look to get back into the win column Saturday when they take on the Montreal Candians

If the playoffs started today, who would the Washington Capitals face in the playoffs in the first and maybe second rounds? Who would the Capitals fans like to see them play? Is it possible for a second round match with the Pittsburgh Penguins? I would love nothing more than to see Alex Ovechkin and Sidney Crosby battle it out in the playoffs. Will the Capitals seek revenge for the cowardly punch that Sidney Crosby threw at Nic Dowd?

Don't fix it, if it isn't broken. The Capitals should continue with their same line pairings and continue with the hot hand in net. In this case Ilya Samsonov.

The Washington Capitals win BIG against the Philadelphia Flyers. The Capitals make it four wins in a row. The Capitals who struggled with depth scoring earlier in the season got plenty of depth scoring tonight.

The Capitals have also seen more consistent netminding as well. Ilya Samsonov has been playing great as of late. Could he be emerging as the number one goalie for the Capitals?

Sixteen of Washington's 18 forwards recorded a point against Philadelphia. It marks the fifth instance in franchise history the Capitals have had 16 players record a point in the same game (most recently: Jan. 9, 2010 vs. the Atlanta Thrashers).

The Capitals extend their win streak to four games. During the streak, which began on April 6 against Tampa Bay, Washington has outscored its opponents 23-10.

With three assists in the third period, Schultz tied Nick Jensen (3a on March 8 against the Calgary Flames) and John Carlson (1g, 2a on March 6 against the Tampa Bay Lightning) for the most points in a period this season by a Capital.

The Washington Capitals had a great weekend, winning two big games against the Penguins and the Bruins. Now they need to build on that as they play the Flyers, Maple Leafs and Canadians. The Capitals need to continue picking up more point as they make their push for the playoffs.

Tom Wilson is evolving as a player. Not just a "tough guy" anymore. Tom Wilson can bring it physically, but is evolving as a great goal scorer as well, not fighting every guy that want to fight him on the ice.

The Capitals have two free agents in the off season that need to be addressed. What to do with Vitek Vanecek and Ilya Samsonov? I think the rest of the season will answer a lot of those questions

The Washington Capitals picked up two big wins over the weekend. They beat the Pittsburgh Penguins 6-3. Sunday they beat the Boston Bruins 4-2

These were statement wins against two big opponents.

The Capitals earned their third straight win against teams higher than them in the Eastern Conference standings and moved within two points of the Penguins

TJ Oshie talked about a team meeting with the players last week and ever since this team is changed and they are firing on all cylinders

The Washington Capitals pickup up a big win tonight by beating the Tampa Bay Lightning by a score of 4-3. The game saw goals from Alex Ovechkin, Two goals by John Carlson and one by Martin Fehervary.
