In this edition of Locked on Capitals Dan talks about how Alex Ovechkin has taken Ivan Miroshnichenko under his wing. Ovi says that he sees a bit of himself in Miro. When Ovi first came to the US and the Capitals, he knew little English and even lived at the GM George McPhee's house. Ovi is doing his best to help Miro feel comfortable at practice and even taking him to dinner. It's Dan's belief the Ovi is passing the torch to Miro as he sees the end of his time with the Capitals on the distant horizon. Later Dan talks about Peter Bondra's thoughts on Alex Ovechkin and if he thinks he can pass Gretzky. In the last segment Dan talks about injury questions when it comes to the Caps blue line.
