The Miami Dolphins' second preseason game delivered far more questions than answers as the New York Giants dominated Miami 26-3 at Hard Rock Stadium. With Malik Willis and most of Miami's established starters held out, the Dolphins used the afternoon to evaluate the players battling for roster spots — and the results were alarming. Miami finished with only 102 total yards, three first downs and 50 rushing yards, converted just 2-of-11 third downs, committed eight penalties for 59 yards and turned the football over twice. New York controlled possession for more than 40 minutes and outgained Miami 390-102. Jim “GRIES” Grieshaber is joined by Locked On Dolphins host Kyle Crabbs and former Miami Dolphins defensive lineman Jeff Zgonina to break down what the performance actually means for Jeff Hafley's roster. The crew discusses Miami's troubling depth behind the starting offensive line, the unresolved backup quarterback situation following Quinn Ewers' injury, Cam Miller and Mark Gronowski's performances, Jaylen Wright's fumble, the lack of offensive production and another afternoon with limited pass-rush impact. There were a few positives. Rookie wide receiver Kevin Coleman Jr. produced Miami's biggest offensive play with a 30-yard reception, while Jackson Woodard recovered a fumble and Cam Riley led Miami with 10 tackles. The Squad also examines the injuries to Trey Moore and Ollie Gordon II, why Moore's status could be particularly significant, and whether Miami may need to aggressively attack the waiver wire when NFL roster cuts begin. And after Miami elected to sit virtually its entire starting unit for its first home preseason game, GRIES, Kyle and Z debate whether modern NFL teams have gone too far in replacing preseason game action with controlled joint practices — and whether paying fans are getting a fair product. It's the immediate Dolphins Squad Show reaction to a forgettable afternoon in Miami. #MiamiDolphins #Dolphins #FinsUp #NFL #DolphinsSquadShow #Miami #NFLPreseason #Giants \*\*\*\*\* 'LIVE' Miami Dolphins Commentary + Analysis from Miami Dolphins Defensive Tackle Jeff “Z” Zgonina, Locked On Dolphins' Kyle Crabbs and Host Jim “GRIES” Grieshaber.
