Locked On Heat - Daily Podcast On The Miami Heat

Miami Heat face critical offseason choices as they race to keep up with Western Conference powerhouses like the Spurs and Thunder. Which current Heat players—Bam Adebayo, Tyler Herro, Jaime Jaquez Jr., and the intriguing Kel'el Ware—can realistically compete at the NBA's highest playoff level? Wes Goldberg and David Ramil scrutinize Miami’s roster, debating which talent possesses the elite skills and versatility needed for a deep postseason run.

Heat management’s pursuit of size, length, and two-way ability dominates the conversation, with potential mid-level free agent targets such as John Collins and Robert Williams III. The episode also explores blockbuster trade scenarios—Giannis Antetokounmpo or Kawhi Leonard?—while weighing their fit, price, and availability for Miami’s championship aspirations. Can Erik Spoelstra and the front office assemble a roster built to stop basketball’s new giants, or will Heat culture alone fall short?

The Eastern Conference Finals are here, and for Miami Heat fans, Knicks vs. Cavaliers might be the worst-case scenario. Wes Goldberg and David Ramil break down why Heat fans may need to root for the Knicks, how a Cavs Finals run could impact Donovan Mitchell’s future, and why a Knicks loss could push New York deeper into the Giannis Antetokounmpo sweepstakes.

Then, Udonis Haslem calls out Anthony Edwards after Ant walked to the Spurs bench during Minnesota’s blowout elimination loss. Was Haslem right, or is the criticism missing context?

Plus, Wes and David open the Locked On Heat mailbag to answer offseason questions: should the Heat trade Bam Adebayo instead of Tyler Herro? Is Kawhi Leonard a better target than Giannis if it also opens the door for Ja Morant? And could the Detroit Pistons be a trade partner for Miami this summer?

The Miami Heat are still hunting for their next star, but what happens if Giannis Antetokounmpo ends up somewhere else? Wes Goldberg and David Ramil break down the latest report that the Heat are closely monitoring Donovan Mitchell’s situation in Cleveland and what it could mean for Miami’s offseason plans.

Then, they look at the other teams emerging in the Giannis sweepstakes, including the Knicks, Celtics and Warriors. Could New York build a package around OG Anunoby, Mikal Bridges or Josh Hart? Could Boston really make a run? And would Golden State try to pair Giannis with Stephen Curry and Draymond Green?

Finally, Wes and David discuss Miami’s Plan B if the Heat miss out on Giannis, including Donovan Mitchell, Kawhi Leonard, Ja Morant, Lauri Markkanen and Kevin Durant. What’s realistic, what’s risky, and which path makes the most sense for Pat Riley and the Heat?

The Miami Heat landed the No. 13 pick in the NBA Draft Lottery, and now the question becomes: will Pat Riley use it to make a major offseason move?

Plus, what happens if the Heat don’t trade the pick? The guys look at the possibility of Miami keeping No. 13, what type of prospect would make sense, why the Heat could target a wing, and how the rest of the lottery results could shape Miami’s options.
