Today we have our weekly podcast mailbag. Thanks as always if you sent in a question. A mailbag simply can't be done without mailbag questions. If your question went unanswered, please feel free to resubmit it for a future mailbag show.
On this week's mailbag we look at whether Marcus Maye might become more of a playmaker with Jamal Adams' departure opening up more opportunities for him to play closer to the line of scrimmage, whether Jets tight ends or wide receivers will have more touchdown catches this year, the ceiling for the Jets on offense, reasons to believe the Jets won't win less than six games, whether the unusual circumstances of the season could lead to Adam Gase getting a free pass if the team isn't successful, whether the Jets should look to trade veteran players if they get off to a slow start, and the definition of a "Joe Douglas Guy."

Today we continue the podcast series previewing the Jets’ roster position by position.
Now the focus turns to the offensive line. This is typically a position group where continuity is important. Offensive lines function as one unit. For the Jets continuity was not an option. The team needed to make drastic changes during the offseason after the line had a disastrous 2019 season.
A situation like the 2019 New York Jets offensive line does not happen overnight. A unit like that only comes together after years of Draft neglect and poor decisions. The 2020 Jets offensive line will not likely be an elite unit, but hopefully the first steps Joe Douglas took in the offseason will lead to appreciable improvement.
Many of the biggest questions on the offensive line have been answered over the last few weeks, but on today’s show we look at the players and expectations for the 2020 season.

Today we continue our positional preview series and focus on wide receiver.
The Jets are trying to develop a third year quarterback. Having quality receivers is important to help a young quarterback. In an ideal world a team finds pass catching targets the quarterback can develop chemistry with and grow for years. The Jets got that first building block this offseason with the selection of Denzel Mims in the second round of the NFL Draft. This is only Mims' first year, however, and much work remains.
We discuss the wide receiver position for the Jets on today's show, and it is a position with potential and question marks.

Today we continue our positional preview podcast series. We move to the tight end position.
In the years I have been watching the Jets there have been some positions the team has been unable to adequately fill. Maybe they find an effective player for a year or two, but in the long run there are always problems. Punter is one of those positions. Safety is another. Tight end is yet another.
There is at least some hope on the horizon for the Jets at tight end as Chris Herndon returns to the lineup this year. Herndon had a lost 2018 season where suspension and injuries limited him to a single game. Herndon has Ryan Griffin, Trevon Wesco, Daniel Brown, and Ross Travis behind him.
On today’s show we talk about the state of the tight end position for the Jets and expectations for the 2020 season.
