Wednesday during the 2018 season mean crossover podcasts. Today we chat with the good folks at the Locked on Broncos podcast to prepare for the Week 5 game as the Jets host Denver.
Both teams are entering this game on a low note. The Jets and the Broncos are riding losing streaks and coming off ugly losses. The Jets were blown out at Jacksonville on Sunday, while the Broncos had a heartbreaking home loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday night. Denver led by double digits in the fourth quarter.
On the show we compare strengths and weaknesses on the rosters of both teams. We also take a look at some of the big questions both teams face entering this Week 5 game as only one will put its losing streak to an end.

Brian Bassett is the guest on today's podcast. As you might know, Brian was the long-time manager over at TheJetsBlog.com. He is one of the few people on the internet who predates me consistently writing about the Jets.
Our discussion is wide-ranging. We talk about the current unhappy state of the team and how it just seems to be a continuation of trends that have lasted for longer than a decade. We also talk about what it takes to build a winning team and why NFL teams make bad decisions. We finish by trying to focus on some of the positives that will come in the future for the Jets. It might be difficult to see while immersed in this losing streak, but they do exist.

The Jets were blown out yesterday in Jacksonville 31-12. The Jaguars' performance was every bit as dominating as the score would indicate. The Jaguars outgained the Jets 503-178 in their victory. There just are not many good things to be said about how the Jets handled their business yesterday.
On today's podcast we break down what went wrong for the Jets. There were a lot of culprits, but what were the biggest, most troubling factors in this loss? On the show we will talk about pass defense, Sam Darnold, and yes, coaching. There are plenty of Jets fans unhappy with their head coach today. Is criticism fair? I think some of it isn't, but a lot of it is.

The Jets look to put an end to their two game losing streak this Sunday in Jacksonville as they take on the defending AFC South Champion Jaguars. New York hopes to avoid a 1-3 start to the 2018 NFL season.
On today's podcast we preview the game. I will offer you my most important players, matchups, and keys to victory. On the offensive side of the ball, they generally involve making Sam Darnold's life easier. The rookie is coming off a rough Week 3 game against the Browns. On the defensive side of the ball, my keys generally involve making Blake Bortles' life more difficult. He followed up a stellar Week 2 performance against the Patriots with a Week 3 stinker against the Titans.

It is Thursday, which makes it a podcast mailbag Thursday. Thanks as always to everybody who submitted questions. Due to the number of questions received, it was impossible to get to all of them. Feel free to resed your question for next week's mailbag if yours was not answered this week.
On today's show we look at the reasons the Jets let so many punts hit the ground to be downed deep in their own territory, whether Jacksonville's defensive line or secondary is more worrisome heading into Week 4, why the Jets have struggled in recent years despite having more resources than successful sports teams in other leagues, what Todd Bowles needs to do to save his job, whether any Jets players have earned a benching, how good Avery Williamson has been, and how good Leonard Williams is.

On Wednesday during the 2018 NFL season, our podcast is a crossover show with the podcast of that week's opponent. In Week 4, the Jets have a date with the Jacksonville Jaguars. On today's show, I join the hosts of Locked on Jaguars to discuss the upcoming game.
Much like Jets fans, Jaguars fans are not very happy as their team suffered an ugly Week 3 loss. Jacksonville followed up a big Week 2 win over the Patriots with a lackluster loss to the Tennessee Titans. On the show today we discuss where both teams go from a disappointing Week 3. We will talk about the big picture for both teams. Then we go into key matchups on both sides of the ball as the Jets take on their most challenging opponent to date in this young season.

The Jets are trying to put their Week 3 loss to the Cleveland Browns behind them. Awaiting the team this weekend is a difficult road test against the contending Jacksonville Jaguars. Returning to the podcast today is Michael Nania. Last year, Nania's first podcast appearance sparked a three game winning streak. Can he do the same again.
Today we discuss whether Le'Veon Bell makes sense for the Jets. The Steelers are now listening to trade offers for the star running back. The Jets have reportedly made a preliminary inquiry. Is trading for Bell a good idea for the Jets? We also discuss the team's offensive line play and coverage to date. As you might know, Michael does a weekly article breaking down how the team is doing in these two areas.

The Jets did not have an NFL game on this Sunday. After a frustrating Thursday night loss, fans at least got a relatively stress-free Sunday of watching football. Winning on Thursday means a fun weekend of football. It is better to be in the clubhouse with a victory, but that was not an option.
On today's podcast we take a look at the Sunday of NFL action in Week 3. The day started with some news off the field. Among other things, we will discuss why the Jets should not put themselves into a potential Le'Veon Bell sweepstakes. Then we will discuss some of the key points from Sunday's action from the third week of the 2018 season.

It is a bitter day for Jets fans as they saw their team lose last night to the Cleveland Browns. The Jets became the first team to lose to the Browns since Christmas Eve 2016. They did it while blowing a 14 point lead and getting torched by Baker Mayfield in the Heisman Trophy winner's NFL debut.
On today's podcast we break down this horrific loss. Before we get into a poor performance for Sam Darnold, I have a message for you. We can get past Darnold's ugly night. We can't get past the performances of the rest of the team and the coaching staff. This was as bad as it gets for a number of people.

The Jets are back in action tonight after a short week to prepare. For the third straight year, this team has a road game in Cleveland. For the fourth straight year, this team takes on Tyrod Taylor in Thursday Night Football. It is the Jets and the Browns tonight in Week 3 action.
On today's podcast we preview the game. As is our custom, we take a look at keys to the game, namely one key player, one key matchup, and one key to victory on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball.
This is a fairly important early season game for the Jets. They do not want to fall to 1-2 with a trip to Jacksonville in front of them. Tune in to find out some of the things I think they can do to avoid that fate.
