On Monday, Jon Heyman reported that the New York Mets could still add a significant pitcher and hitter when free agency reopens after the lockout, pushing their payroll to $300 million. Will the Mets keep spending on the big fish of free agency, or will they focus on building out their depth?

Host Ryan Finkelstein discusses the report and how it contradicts what we heard from SNY's Andy Martino last week. Ryan also wonders who Heyman's report could have been serving, other than agent Scott Boras, who still has "significant" free agents that could intrigue the Mets.

Finally, is there is a chance the Mets payroll reaches $300 million without even signing another top tier free agent?

The New York Mets lost their best reliever from last season when Aaron Loup signed a two-year, $17 million deal with the Los Angeles Angels. Who is left in free agency to fill that void?

Host Ryan Finkelstein discusses the Mets options, as Andrew Chafin, Brad Hand, Tony Watson and Chasen Shreve could all still be signed to give New York a left-handed reliever to bolster their pen.

SNY's Andy Martino reported on Thursday that the New York Mets are not expected to pursue any other expensive free agents like Kris Bryant or Carlos Correa this offseason.

Martino also reported that J.D. Davis, Dom Smith and Jeff McNeil could still be on the trade block and that the Mets are focused on adding one starter as well as bullpen help before Opening Day.

Host Ryan Finkelstein reacts to all of Martino's reported, as we finally get some news amidst the lockout.

The New York Mets have yet to address their bullpen this offseason, as the only major change so far is the loss of 2021 standout Aaron Loup. As they look to add to that group before Opening Day, how many relievers can be trusted right now in the Mets pen?

Host Ryan Finkelstein breaks down the different relief options on the Mets 40-man roster and how much faith he has in pitchers like Edwin Diaz, Trevor May, Seth Lugo, Miguel Castro and others.

How many arms do the Mets need to add to have a strong enough bullpen come Opening Day?

The New York Mets may be all-in to win the World Series in 2022, but Steve Cohen's investment in the club is about way more than just the upcoming season.

Host Ryan Finkelstein discusses how Cohen's all-in approach is different from some other owners around the sport and what he is building towards in the future. He also imagines what would happen if the Mets get the monkey off their back this year and win the World Series.
