The 2018 season has been a disaster so far for the Orioles, who find themselves at 6-17 and with seemingly little hope of righting the ship.
Will Leitch, national correspondent for the MLB, joins us and says it's well past time for the O's to make Manny Machado and other stars available to the highest bidder. The rebuilding process will be slow and painful for fans, he says, but the team has no choice but to give up on the past and present and look to the future.

It's no fun to talk about the 2018 Orioles, so we decided to take a look at the Orioles of the future. Luke Siler of Orioles Hangout joins us to talk about how Baltimore's prospects are looking so far.
Among those who have caught Siler's eye: The six-man Delmarva rotation led by D.L. Hall, Frederick 2B Preston Palmeiro and Norfolk RHP David Hess.
It's all great, though as prospects Austin Hayes and Cody Sedlock have struggled so far in 2018.

Chris Davis has been one of the worst players in MLB so far in 2018, and the 32-year-old looks like he may be effectively done as an everyday player. That's the bad news.
The worse news? Davis is only in the beginning of Year 3 of a huge seven-year deal he signed with the Birds in 2016. What do the Orioles do about what is clearly the worst contract in baseball?
Matt Kremnitzer of Camden Depot joins us to discuss that and more, including whether the Orioles should consider trading Jonathan Schoop, Brad Brach and others at the trade deadline.

Two weeks into the 2018 season, the Orioles have been one of baseball's most disappointing teams. So disappointing, in fact, that some observers seem to think longtime manager Buck Showalter's job may be in jeopardy.
But is Showalter, whose contract expires at season's end, really in danger of losing his job? Sporting News baseball writer Ryan Fagan joins us to discuss that and more.

The Orioles moved Manny Machado to shortstop and Tim Beckham to third base this season. The move may be good for Machado when he hits the free-agent market, is it good for the team?
Andrew Stetka of Eutaw Street Report and MASNSports.com joins us to explain why he thinks the Orioles made a mistake is allowing Machado to play shortstop and forcing Beckham to an unfamiliar position. So far, neither player has looked comfortable defensively.
Stetka and host Justin McGuire also talk about Baltimore's early season attendance woes.

The Orioles are carrying three Rule 5 players on their roster this year, including two relief pitchers. Has such a strategy backfired by limiting the team's roster flexibility and forcing inexperienced pitchers into key situations?
Eduardo Encina of The Baltimore Sun joins us to discuss that and more. Other topics: WhetherBrad Brach in danger of losing the closer's role and who will be the odd man out when Alex Cobb joins the rotation.

Through his first two starts, Dylan Bundy has looked like the ace Orioles fans have envisioned since the righthander was selected as the fourth overall pick in the 2011 MLB Draft. Can he keep it up?
Craig Edwards of FanGraphs joins us to discuss Bundy's development and whether he would benefit from pitching on extra rest. Edwards examined that question in depth for a recent article and found some intriguing results.
Plus, Josh Sroka of Section 336 returns to the podcast to discuss the Orioles' amazing weekend series against the Yankees in which the Birds won three of four games in the Bronx.

The Double-A Bowie Baysox, who open their season tonight, have a roster full of some of the Orioles' top prospects, including Hunter Harvey, Austin Hays and Ryan Mountcastle.
Adam Pohl, the play-by-play broadcaster for the Baysox, joins us to preview the 2018 team and discuss what to expect out of Harvey, Hays, Mountcastle and other top prospects.

What does Orioles' slow start mean for 2018 and beyond?
Let's not sugarcoat it: The Orioles are a bad baseball team right now. The O's are 1-4 and have struggled with both pitching and hitting so far in 2018.
What does the slow start mean? Is Buck Showalter's job in danger? Will the Orioles we sellers at the deadline? Can the Birds survive a brutal April schedule?
Luke Jones of WNST radio joins us to discuss that and more.

The 2018 Orioles are off to a rough start, but they will not go 0-21. That was the fate of the 1988 Birds, who set a major league record for futility with their terrible start.
Matt Taylor of Roar From 34 joins us to discuss that infamous season. How did a team with two future Hall of Famers play so poorly? What was the state of baseball in Baltimore at the time? And why did the city embrace such an awful team?
It wasn't fun, but it was part of Baltimore's rich baseball history.
