Kyle Dubas has his sights set on a big-time power forward in the NHL Draft, but he's a top five prospect. How can the Penguins get him? Hunter and Patrick discuss that possibility (even though it's low) to start Tuesday's episode. They discuss the interest that Dubas has in Martone even though he may be out of reach. The two discuss whether Dubas can find a trade partner for him if he starts sliding in the draft. After that, Hunter and Pat continue their season in review series with Phillip Tomasino. What's his ceiling for next season? Can he work on some of his consistency issues? What could his next contract look like? After that, they discuss Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final and why the Oilers' antics reminded Hunter of a past Penguins team.

Kyle Dubas reinforced his desire to trade for and sign young RFAs this summer that could be part of the Penguins’ long-term future, so who could they be? Hunter and Patrick start the show discussing Dubas’s comments to a couple of reporters as well as which players he might have been referring to that could be available this offseason. Then, they revisit the idea of trading for Vegas defenseman Nicholas Hague because some of the numbers could be a warning sign. Finally, with two games in the books, the Stanley Cup Final has been one for the ages so far.

With Dan Muse hired, now it's time to discuss what would qualify as a successful run as the next Pittsburgh Penguins head coach. Patrick and Hunter close out the week talking about what Dan Muse will have to do during his time as the Penguins' head coach in order to call it a success. A lot of it will be contingent upon making sure the young players go from prospects to regular NHL contributors, as well as keeping the veterans happy. Then, with three weeks to go until the 2025 NHL Draft, they begin discussing some players they think the Penguins and Kyle Dubas should have their eyes on, both in the early rounds and the late rounds. Finally, it's Friday and that means another round of Fan Take Friday!

Now that the Penguins have their head coach, who will be joining him on the bench next season? Patrick and Hunter begin the episode talking about how Mike Sullivan has taken two coaches with him to New York, leaving Dan Muse with an empty bench. They discuss how it was probably time for a full reset, as well as who could be candidates to join Muse's staff next year. Then, reports came out on Wednesday that Penguins' prospect Vasily Ponomarev had his rights traded in the KHL. While it may seem like that means he's bound for a return to Russia, it's not that simple. They make sure to clarify what this means for his potential future in Pittsburgh. Finally, a big talking point in the NHL the last few years has been one surrounding state income tax and how some teams may be using that as an advantage. Patrick and Hunter get into why that's just an easy excuse and not an actual reason for success.
