The Red Sox could not pull off the series win in Baltimore and had to settle for a series split with the Orioles with Sunday's 4-2 loss in the series finale at Camden Yards.  Rob Refsnyder hit a solo Home Run in the 9th, but the Red Sox could not draw any closer.  The Red Sox outhit the Orioles, 11-3, in the loss.

Streak is Alive: The Red Sox scored their only run of the game in the 8th inning and avoided being shutout.  Sox extend their streak to 66 straight games without being shutout.  The Red Sox were shutout 5 times through their 1st 57 games and the last time they were blanked came at Fenway against the Tigers on May 30th.

On the Board 1st: Kutter Crawford & Albert Suarez matched Zero's thru the 1st 4 Innings on Sunday.  The Orioles got on the board in the Bottom of the 5th against Crawford with Adley Rutschman hitting a solo Home Run to rightfield.  It was his 18th on the season.  Crawford came back and retired the next 3 hitters.

Crawford's Day: Crawford did not make it out of the 6th Inning.  He walked and hit the 1st 2 batters to start the inning.  The 1st of 3 runs in the home 6th scored on a fielder's choice and throwing error by Shortstop Ceddanne Rafaela.  Crawford was removed from the game and Bailey Horn entered and gave up a 2-run Home Run to Gunnar Henderson to make it 4-0.

Missed Opportunities: Red Sox had their opportunities against Albert Suarez and the Orioles bullpen but went 1-for-14 with RISP and left 11 Runners on Base.  The Sox left the bases loaded in the 8th inning.  Suarez turned in his 3rd straight scoreless outing with 6 scoreless and he notched his 6th win.

Mini Hit Streak: Masa Yoshida extended his hit streak to 6 in a row with a single in the 2nd Inning.  He also reached with another 2-out single in the 6th inning.  Yoshida has 21 hits over his last 13 Games (4 2B, 3 HR, 8 RBIs).  He also has 6 multi-hit games over his current 13-game strech.

Rough Day at the Plate: Tyler O'Neill playing in his 2nd straight game since being activated from the Injured List, had a rough day.  O'Neill went 0-for-4 with 4 strikeouts. He struck out with runners at 2nd & 3rd and no one out in the 8th Inning.

Updating The Home Run Battle:  The Orioles hit 2 more Home Runs in the series finale and now lead the Majors with 192.  The Orioles have hit 11 Home Runs in 10 games versus the Red Sox.  Red Sox pitchers have allowed 47 Home Runs over their last 23 Games & 60 Home Runs over their last 29 Games.

On To Houston: The Red Sox continue their road trip and open up a 3-Game Series against the Astros in Houston Monday night.  Tanner Houck goes in the opener for the Red Sox.  Boston's lost Houck's previous 5 outings.  He left his previous 2 starts against the Astros and Rangers with leads, but ended up no-decisions.  Houston hit 9 Home Runs and scored 23 Runs in taking all 3 from the Red Sox at Fenway (August 9-11).  Yusei Kikuchi makes his 4th start for the Astros.  He was acquired from the Blue Jays at the trade deadline.
