The Red Sox ended their 6-Game Road Trip with an 8-4 Loss to the Royals Wednesday night at Kauffman Stadium. Royals went in front with a 5-run 4th Inning and never trailed again. Bobby Witt Jr was the hitting star for the Royals with 2 Home Runs and a 2-run Double.

On the Hill with Kutter: Kutter Crawford entered Wednesday's start having allowed 12 Home Runs in his previous 3 outings. Crawford gave up a solo Home Run to Bobby Witt Jr. in the Bottom of the 1st and that got the Royals on the board 1st. Crawford issued a leadoff walk and a 2-out walk in the 2nd and the Royals tacked on another run on a 2-out, RBI single from Michael Massey. Crawford took a 4-2 lead to the Bottom of the 4th, but he didn't make it out of the inning. Again, he allowed a leadoff walk and 2-out walk and the Royals made him pay. Crawford was chased from the game after giving up a 2-out, 2-run Double to Witt Jr. that gave Kansas City an 8-4 lead.

2-Out Magic From Romy- The Sox came to the plate down 2-0 against Cole Ragans and the Royals in the Top of the 3rd Inning and 1 swing of the bat changed that. Romy Gonzalez hit his 2nd Home Run of the series with a 2-out, 3-run Home Run and that put the Red Sox in front for the 1st time of the night.

His 1st for the Sox- Danny Jansen added to the Red Sox lead with a solo Home Run off of Ragans in the 4th inning. It's his 1st with the Red Sox and 7th on the season. 

----- Hit Streak Ends: Jarren Duran went 0-for-4, ending his 8-Game Hit Streak. Durran and Witt Jr. are the only 2 players in the American League to start every game for their teams.

Looking Ahead: The Red Sox have a scheduled off day Thursday and open a 6-Game Home Stand with the 1st of 3 against the Houston Astros Friday night at Fenway. Sox will have 3 with the Astros and then 3 more with the Rangers. Tanner Houck is scheduled to go in the opener Friday night and the Astros will counter with Ronel Blanco.
