"You are completely responsible for everything you're doing."
It's been far too long since she went anywhere new so this week Lucy's sharing the highs and lows of the time she went solo travelling around France and Belgium to provide you with a lovely lil' bit of escapism from lockdown life. Solo travel is so much fun, but is definitely idealised a lot of the time and it's worth chatting about the not so fun and kinda stressful parts too! Whether you're looking for some inspo for future travel plans, advice for heading out into the world on your own or are just feeling nosy (same), this episode's got you covered. Enjoy!! Share with a friend you think would enjoy to spread the love if you're feeling nice x

Frustrated with always hearing all about our impending doom and our dying planet? Lucy's here to offer a different perspective on the climate crisis in this episode which should hopefully leave you feeling empowered to do something about the challenges we face (rather than wanting to just bury your head in the sand). Focusing on the problems is only creating guilt, inaction and anger, but if we start putting the solutions that exist already into action, we might start to actually improve the situation. So, let's talk about what we can do!!
In this episode, Lucy explains some of the things she's learnt through engaging with the work of the incredible organisation Project Drawdown, who focus on stopping catastrophic climate change. From educating girls across the globe to green energy production, they've calculated that if the solutions we have now are scaled up, we are capable of reversing global warming. What are we waiting for?!
"We don't need a few people doing it perfectly. We need everyone making changes imperfectly."
If you're a Uni of Nottingham student/alumni and want to add your name to a letter regarding climate change action for the Vice-Chancellor, do so here!! Thank you.

Journaling has so many amazing benefits, from keeping on top of your mental health and thinking ahead to the future, to reframing past experiences and documenting the highs and lows of your life! Regular journaling has been a game changer for Lucy so she's here in this episode to give you her tips and tricks for starting, keeping up the habit and making it work for you as well as some prompts to get you thinking! Hope this chat is insightful and one that you can come back to if you're just hopping on the journaling bandwagon - which has space for anyone and everyone by the way, regardless of your age, gender or lifestyle! Lots of love to all you lovely listeners and happy journaling x

2. What does your day-to-day life look like in an ideal world in 1, 5 or 10 years time?
3. Write a list of things you're grateful for today - maybe 5 people, 5 things you take for granted, 5 material items, 5 things you love to do.
4. What went well today? What was challenging about today? What can you learn from these things?
5. What's the 1 thing you most want to remember from today?

"Human beings are works in progress that mistakenly think they're finished." - Daniel Gilbert
Season 4 is here!! This episode is all about the many ways in which adopting a growth mindset as opposed to a fixed one will enable you to be more resilient, motivated, open and successful in the long run. It's such a powerful tool - if you can train your mind to see opportunity in every difficulty and to reframe "I'm not good at this," to "I'm not good at this YET," then you'll experience long-term fulfilment, growth and happiness even as things inevitably challenge you. Lucy chats you through several growth mindset frameworks and sends love to anyone having a tough time at the moment- it's so okay to not be okay right now. Hopefully the podcast can be an escape from things that are getting you down if life is tough right now. x

Lucy's chatting all things social media in this episode, including its effects on our mental health, echo chambers of disinformation and its power as a tool for social change. If you were equally shocked by the storming of the US Capitol last week, have ever struggled with comparison and low self-worth while scrolling through Instagram or sometimes feel more isolated than connected from being on social media, this one's for you. Lucy offers her thoughts on the huge role social media plays in our lives as well as some advice for giving your mind well-deserved a break from it all!
