But there are other types of deductions you might also consider at this time

Can you pre-pay expenses which a tax deductible? Examples can include Interest on a margin loan, interest on an investment home loan, income protection premiums, self employed instant asset right off – up to 20k each year.

Good accountants should be proactive in coming to you with these kinds of strategies. If you’re accountant hasn’t contacted you, then go and ask them now!

There’s nothing wrong with getting yourself in the best position possible.

Not all super funds accept contributions right up until 30 June 2025, so check with your own fund as to their cut-off date.
