  • Should companies provide staff housing to fight the renting crisis?

As the rental crisis has become a massive issue across the country, companies are losing staff due to the lack of affordable housing…

To tackle this, Eirebus, operator of the Swords Express in Dublin, has applied to Fingal County Council seeking to temporarily retain 19 modular accommodation units and six mobile home units at its Corduff Road depot in Dublin 15 for three years.

Is this the best incentive for companies to keep staff, or should more be done to tackle the renting crisis?

Joining Andrea to discuss is businessman and owner of Supermac's, Pat McDonagh, Hugh Morries from Alliance Auctioneers and Valuers, HR Expert at NFP HR Solutions, Caroline Reidy and listeners.

  • Glencullen wildfire - what has been the impact?

Firefighters from Rathfarnham and Dún Laoghaire tackled a gorse wildfire in Glencullen on the Dublin mountains over the bank holiday weekend. The wildfire has “died down considerably” after reigniting yesterday.

More than 25 firefighters and other agencies had fought a blaze in the area on July 31st, which was brought under control, and it’s not yet known how the fire reignited.

Many businesses and residents in the area have been concerned over these fires and the impact they will have if they are to reignite…

Joining Andrea to discuss this is Independent Cllr with Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown, Michael Flemming and listeners.

What does it mean for our children when they are bored? Should we try everything to keep them entertained or is it okay to allow boredom to strike and encourage children to use their imagination to find entertainment themselves?

Joining guest host Anna Daly to discuss is Consulting Psychologist and clinical hypnotherapist from D4 Clinic, Jason O’Callaghan, Editor of Cork Beo and father Joe O’Shea, Zoo Director with The National Reptile Zoo James Hennessy, Averil Sheenan from Care-A-Lot Childcare and more.
