They wanted serfdom, bombs for destruction
They tried to give them up, but they’re addicted.
New data, coupled with unresolved peace deals, keep oil under pressure and Treasury yields and mortgage rates up. Iran’s situation has not changed. The terrorist regime wants to control its neighbors and drive Israelis into the sea with nuclear weapons.
The bear trend began, with the 10-year yield at 4.21. It’s now 4.60, with a gradual rate rise without a peace deal. But don’t be surprised when peace happens.
Iran’s time is running out
You can't push Oil underground
You can't sell it streaming out.

Artificial intelligence is everywhere, but not all AI is created equal. In this episode of the Weekly AI Update, David Lykken sits down with Jennifer from Angel AI and Celligents to explore the difference between AI hype and true mortgage intelligence. Their conversation dives into what it really takes to build an AI system capable of performing meaningful work in a highly regulated industry, from decades of engineering and proprietary lending data to the disciplined culture required to create technology that borrowers, loan officers, and lenders can trust. They discuss the emerging definition of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI), why most AI solutions are little more than wrappers around large language models, and how purpose-built AI is transforming mortgage origination, compliance, risk management, and operational efficiency. If you're curious about where AI is truly creating value in financial services—and where the industry is headed next—this is a conversation you won't want to miss.
In an industry often defined by rates, guidelines, and transactions, Molly Dean reminds us that mortgage lending is ultimately about people. In this inspiring episode, Molly shares her unlikely journey from studying genetics and selling cars to becoming one of the mortgage industry's rising leaders. Along the way, she reveals the moment that shaped her purpose—helping a real estate agent provide for her family through a successful closing—and how that experience continues to drive her passion today. From building authentic relationships and creating a client-first culture to balancing a thriving business with family life, Molly offers a candid look at what it takes to succeed in modern mortgage lending. Her story is a powerful reminder that every loan impacts far more than a borrower; it creates opportunities, supports families, and strengthens entire communities. Whether you're a mortgage professional, industry newcomer, or business leader, this conversation delivers valuable insights on purpose, leadership, and building a career that truly makes a difference.
