This is a carry on from last weeks guided exploration of how our breath moves our ribs, it is unique to each of you, as in what you can feel, and then what you can imagine.
We are working without force, without control, we are releasing all the limits that have been created through these approaches.

We meet live via zoom twice weekly, or you can check out the videos and files at anytime that suits you, access in the portal.
The aim of this community is to offer company, and a safe space to explore yourself, as you let go of the past, any stories attached, any identities you may have been living under.
As we discover the subconscious muscle tension that create our vibration, and energise our experiences, we are able to release these safely, without creating new tensions through the doings of fixing ourselves.
As we are adventuring through our own variables that have shaped us, we each have a beautifully unique discovery that no labels can contain, no grouping will be able to accommodate.

My Kahuna training taught me all of our emotions are relevant, they rise up and propel us through a situation, to get the best outcome for ourself... yet we are taught to control our emotions, cap them, perform to an acceptable level, which is to undermine our innate intelligence.
The more we 'try' to behave well, the less we are being ourselves.
Regardless of why we have shut down our emotions, the affect is the same, we become unsure of ourselves, and we get ourselves into situations that are not for our best interests, and as our emotions start to scream louder, we learn more ways of learning to shut them down - resilience training is what they are calling it.
We are not meant to sit in a dangerous situation, we are meant to move through it, for survival, the problem is we have mentally overpowered our emotions so often that they are now desperate.
My Kahuna training was in Universal Principles, not Hawaiian culture or technique, it was about knowing ourselves in our own culture, knowing ourselves at home.
The video is of me performing myself within the repetitive movement of Ka'aleleau, a way of getting close to all of the doings that are no longer serving me, and of releasing them when I am ready. This was the basis of my Kahuna Bodywork training... me.
And universal principles is, how you 'do' one thing is how you do everything... so when we place controls on one thing, we then need to take in hand everything else, by controlling it we have removed it from being dynamically integrated, as part of our whole, which unsettles everything, and then we have to mentally manage everything to stop it getting out of hand...
How do we get out of this?
All of the thinking & learning new ways of coping needs to stop, we have done that... and we need to start feeling again... when we feel ourselves without labels, without judgement, we can start respecting who we are, we can start to remember how to trust in ourselves, we need to return our organ systems to functioning harmoniously... muscles and bones working together... bones for strength, which is the complete opposite of what is happening in the world today.
This podcast is about emotions, and I talk of anger, and I talk from a place of having been so explosively angry/miserable/happy/sad, completely shut down, as well as being so unhinged from running out of energy to be in control of all the things I was unnecessarily controlling... and being so sick, and so messed up... I touch on parenting, and on being a child, on the rigidity we create within us, which creates the above.

I'm on the beach at Yeppoon, the sound is a bit dodgy... the waves are in the background, and the dogs are running a wonderful adventure around my ankles...
My feeling of the breath is that Your breath should be complete, thoughtless and Unique to you.
Your nervous system directs your breath to ensure it will meet the needs of keeping your internal environment (physical self) safe in the present moment, and readies you for that which is coming.
Your innate intelligence informs your nervous system of what is coming for you in your external environment.
I think the reason we hear people say our physical aspect is slow, the physical 3D world is mundane, the physical is lowest vibration, is because we are trying to control it with our mind... and our mind is not designed to drive this high performance vehicle!

We are sold, and fed so much about how our breath should be... and when we embark on this path, we are perpetuating any breathing problems... but we are also masking them with the response of our body... which means at some point the benefit will wear off, the body will start to feel the exhaustion of this action, and we will need to find something new, and probably something more extreme to make us feel better, or to feel anything...

Gather & prepare your comfortable place to lie, posi ball, yoga block, belt, folded towel pillow & blankets or fans to be comfortable.
Maia Movement is about being unshakeably you. Do this practice anywhere you can, the room required is minimal, the surrounding activity is none of your business... as long as you are physically safe, you can be calm, grounded, and peaceful... if you need to move to save your life, do that first!

My adventures through life have taken me down the road to honour equality, which is far from where I started and the world into which I was born.
"Do not be in awe" was my greatest lesson, and my 2 chosen teachers have got to the point of telling me I cannot ask questions anymore... they no longer had anything to teach me.
What saddens me, is that working together as equals, as I was learning from them, we could have expanded our reach, and kept evolving...
But, after a few years of reflecting on the integrity of what I have been taught, I was shown that I need to speak up, I was given a microphone, and I didn't listen, and it was uncomfortable... but I got through, and in less than 2 days I had figured out my lesson.
When I woke this morning, I spoke into my voice recorder, sleepy, probably poor sound, but it is there... then the girls and I went to the beach, to remember the hula that was part of my Kahuna training... and we flew, ka'aleleau - the flight of the navigator as the sun came up.
Honest expression is so important... it is not calm, controlled or scripted... it is responsive, and it is freedom.
Being present, responding... learning to accept what you hear... in the beginning our freedom will be erratic, and it will fluctuate on a scale of decency... but that is just another thing for you to respond to... apologise if necessary but own your emotions.
Your emotions are for you, do not lay them on anyone else, in anyway... so catch yourself doing this, and claim it, apologise, do not beat yourself up.
Next time it will be smoother as you stop capping your expression.
