RCMP have released new information identifying a man police believe is involved in the case of a missing teenager in Cape Breton. Cpl. Lisa Croteau said RCMP are continuing to ask the public for help finding 14-year-old Mary (Molly) Martin, who was last seen on Thursday in Eskasoni. In the meantime, We'koqma'q First Nation continues to organize search parties...and has offered a reward for any information that leads to Molly's safe return. Steven Googoo is a band councilor at We'koqma'q and is organizing the ground search.

A business owner in Cheticamp is worried that she may have to close the doors on her business. She is also worried that if she closes her doors it will be the end of the Cheticamp tradition of rug-hooking. Author Donald Savoie penned a new book that was recently published by Nova Scotia based Nimbus Publishing. The book explores the relationships between members of the New Brunswick Irving family and the story of Irving Oil.

RCMP continue their search for a 14 year old girl missing last seen last Thursday in Eskasoni. She is described as Indigenous, 5-foot-7 and 100 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. She has a rose tattoo on her left forearm and may be wearing eyeglasses. She is believed to be travelling around Cape Breton with a man who is known to her. Last week the girl and the man were identified on video surveillance at a service station in Catalone. Yesterday there were reports the two were sighted on an ATV in the Forchu area. At the same time, there is a petition circulating, asking why no Amber Alert was issued when the girl was noticed missing. Cpl. Lisa Croteau is with the RCMP and joined us on Mainstreet.

Jitka Zgola appeared before Victoria County Council on behalf of the St. Ann's Bay Time Bank. The time bank allows residents to post a job they need help with such as stacking wood and another community member can lend a helping hand and earn time bank points. Zgola is looking for some funding to keep the time bank going. She joined Mainstreet to explain more.

Allison Steele was born in Cape Breton and is now living in Houston, Texas. Along with her husband they decided to make the trip over the Canada/U.S border to go to their summer home in Gabarus. They have been in self-isolation since they arrived. Allison joined Mainstreet to tell us what it has been like in self-isolation.

TALO cafe bar is offering a 25 per cent off voucher to anyone who pays for another customers meal. Staff were inspired by a recent customer to start the campaign.
