Dimity chases (frozen) waterfalls with Kimber Cross, an ice climber and alpinist who began climbing mountains and ice in her late 20’s. Despite having a limb deficit—she was born without a right hand—Kimber has set records on Mount Rainer/Tahoma and continues to push her limits.

The two talk about:

  • how Kimber’s kindergarten class usually reacts to her hand;
  • her childhood sports pursuits and role models (hello, fastpitch softball!)
  • why trust is such an important element of climbing, and how she builds it;
