There is a list of scholars I reach out to every 18 months hoping they will come on the podcast. For 12 years, Marion Grau has been on the list, but no more! I can’t exaggerate how much nerdy fun I had hanging with Marion in Norway, and we recorded some of that fun for you.
Podcasting after a stroll through the rain in NorwayMarion Grau is Professor of Systematic Theology, Ecumenism and Missiology at MF Norwegian School of Theology, Religion, and Society in Oslo, Norway. Before coming to Oslo, she taught at the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, CA from 2001-2015. Her teaching interests are in constructive theology and critical intersectional theories. Her current research projects include a constructive theology of energy transitions and climate change. In addition to various chapters and articles, she is the author of the monographs Pilgrimage, Landscape, and Identity: Reconstructing Sacred Geographies in Norway (Oxford University Press, 2021), Refiguring Theological Hermeneutics: Hermes, Trickster, Fool (Palgrave MacMillan, 2014), Rethinking Mission in the Postcolony: Salvation, Society, and Subversion (T&T Clark/Continuum, 2011), and Of Divine Economy: Refinancing Redemption (T&T Clark/Continuum, 2004).
