This year you are thinking it will be the year to lose the last 10 pounds, start meditating, stop losing your shit at every little thing, or finally start that side hustle you have been talking about for years.
How do you plan to make these goals happen?
If you are like many people, are you thinking you are going to have to use willpower to get there? Thinking this is the only way.
I think of willpower like a candle. The flame is super strong when you first light it, and it can burn for hours, but eventually the wick ends and the candle burns out.
Willpower works the same way, it’s not sustaining.
If I take away all your willpower and tell you now you have to create your goal without it, does your brain freak out a little bit? Does it tell you that’s the only way to make it happen?
