To bring your attention,
Deep into your breath.Â
PAUSE…
So you can practice using it as a tool,
To bring you into presence,
To let go of your thoughts,
To deeply relax your body,
And to bring you into your stillness.Â
Close your eyes,Â
And invite yourself to relax.
PAUSE…
Take a moment and find your breath.
PAUSE…
See if your attention can follow it,
In,
And out.
PAUSE…
Noticing your belly and chest expanding as you breathe in,
And contracting as you breathe out.
PAUSE…
Expanding,
Contracting.Â
Filling,
Releasing.Â
LONG PAUSE…
Slow yourself down a bit,
Inviting your inhale to come in just a little deeper,
And your exhale to reach just a little further.
PAUSE…
Now take a big, deep breath in,
Collecting up all the thoughts,Â
Worries,
Plans,
Then hold it at the top for a moment.
And then exhale,Â
Releasing everything out of you,
All the way to your very last drop of air.
PAUSE…
And then find your natural rhythm again,
Breathing in,
And breathing out.
And simply being here,
Tuned into your breath.
