"聊斋志异（liáo zhāi zhì yì）" is a classic Chinese literary work written by Pu Songling during the Qing Dynasty. The title can be translated as "Strange Tales of Liaozhai." ('Liaozhai' means Chinese Studio) 

The collection is a compilation of short stories and anecdotes that explore the realms of the supernatural, blending elements of fantasy, horror, and romance.

MaoMi Chinese has rewritten the stories based on the originals, making them more accessible and approachable for intermediate to advanced Chinese learners.
