As I began to love myself
I found that anguish and emotional suffering
are only warning signs
that I was living against my own truth.
当我真正开始爱自己，
我才认识到，所有的痛苦和情感的折磨，
都只是提醒我：
活着，不要违背自己的本心。


Today, I know, this is
"AUTHENTICITY".
今天我明白了，这叫做
『真实』


As I began to love myself
I understood how much it can offend somebody
as I try to force my desires on this person,
even though I knew the time was not right
and the person was not ready for it,
and even though this person was me.
当我真正开始爱自己
我才懂得，把自己的愿望强加于人
是多么的无礼，就算我知道，时机并不成熟
那人也还没有做好准备
就算那个人就是我自己



Today I call it
"RESPECT".
今天我明白了，这叫做
『尊重』



As I began to love myself
I stopped craving for a different life,
and I could see that everything
that surrounded me was inviting me to grow.
当我开始爱自己
我不再渴求不同的人生
我知道任何发生在我身边的事情
都是对我成长的邀请


Today I call it
"MATURITY".
如今，我称之为
『成熟』


As I began to love myself
I understood that at any circumstance,
I am in the right place at the right time,
and everything happens
at the exactly right moment,
so I could be calm.
当我开始真正爱自己
我才明白，我其实一直都在正确的时间
正确的地方，发生的一切都恰如其分
由此我得以平静


Today I call it
"SELF-CONFIDENCE".
今天我明白了，这叫做
『自信』


As I began to love myself
I quit steeling my own time,
and I stopped designing huge projects for the future.
Today, I only do what brings me joy and happiness,
things I love to do
and that make my heart cheer,
and I do them in my own way
and in my own rhythm.
当我开始真正爱自己
我不再牺牲自己的自由时间
不再去勾画什么宏伟的明天
今天我只做有趣和快乐的事
做自己热爱，让心欢喜的事
用我的方式，以我的韵律

Today I call it
"HONESTY".
今天我明白了，这叫作
『单纯』


As I began to love myself
I freed myself of anything
that is no good for my health –
food, people, things, situations,
当我开始真正爱自己
我开始远离一切不健康的东西
不论是饮食和人物，还是事情和环境


and everything that drew me down and away from myself.
At first I called this attitude a healthy egoism.
我远离一切让我远离本真的东西
从前我把这叫做“追求健康的自私自利”


Today I know it is
"LOVE OF ONESELF".
但今天我明白了
这是
『自爱』



As I began to love myself
I quit trying to always be right,
and ever since I was wrong less of the time.
当我开始真正爱自己，
我不再总想着要永远正确，不犯错误。


Today I discovered that is
"MODESTY".
我今天明白了，这叫做
『谦逊』



As I began to love myself
I refused to go on living in the past
and worry about the future.
当我开始真正爱自己
我不再继续沉溺于过去
也不再为明天而忧虑


Now, I only live for the moment,
where EVERYTHING is happening.
Today I live each day, day by day,
and I call it
"PERFECTION".
现在我只活在一切正在发生的当下
今天，我活在此时此地
如此日复一日。这就叫
『完美』


As I began to love myself
I recognized that my mind can disturb me and it can make me sick.
But as I connected it to my heart,
my mind became a valuable ally.
Today I call this connection
WISDOM OF THE HEART.
当我开始真正爱自己
我明白，我的思虑让我变得贫乏和病态
但当我唤起了心灵的力量
理智就变成了一个重要的伙伴
这种组合我称之为
『心的智慧』


We no longer need to fear arguments,
confrontations or any kind of problems with ourselves or others.
Even stars collide,
and out of their crashing new worlds are born.
Today I know That is LIFE!
我们无须再害怕自己和他人的分歧，矛盾和问题
因为即使星星有时也会碰在一起
形成新的世界
今天我明白，这就是
『生命』

The pace was slower in the past
From one village to another near it
One needs a whole day on foot

The days were slower but warmer in the past
Through a touch of light mist
Year after year, time is out.
从前的日子很慢很暖
裹在淡淡的烟火里
日日年年


The handkerchiefs were finer in the past
Young ladies with soft eyebrows
in their perfect fit
stitch by stitch,
more delicate
从前的手帕也好看
最是那低眉的女子
精致的，一针一线


It took time to fall in love in the past
So slow, one needs one’s lifetime
seeking for Mr/Ms Right
So slow, you need your whole life
to love people that suit

Now with everything on the go,
one gets up earlier a little bit
No time to say good morning,
even a hug you cannot wait

In fact, in the city center,
even 5 minutes’ on foot
Or a bit of leisure time after your breakfast
Everything is different
其实

Now is faster,
everything is in the replacement
So fast that life is easily to be parted
even you cannot notice it

In fact, cluttered life can be combined
by one after one highlight
Like the classical furnishings
mixed with modern decorations
in a sample apartment
Less dull, less stale, much more exquisite
其实，杂乱的生活也可以拼凑出一个个美好
就像样板间里带着古典气息的摆设
和现代化装修的搭一起
少了分沉闷古旧
多了份细腻


Now time flies faster,
just keep the pace after complaint
Strive for your dream with your daring heart
Embrace your leisure time
until you are old but not in the past
Why not plan for your future earlier
to some extent?
现在快，抱怨几句，仍要跟上节奏
朝着自己的梦想，再努把力
把从前的悠闲搬到老年时享受
其实，何不早早规划未来？

after dinner no time left
In fact, time is innocent,

Now is faster,
so fast that we always recall beauty in the past
Passionately think of the world once in its purest
现在快，
快到我们总是回忆起以前的美

In fact, for your current anguish, beat it
Go to the North Square,
and close your eyes in a moment
overwhelming yourself
with those golden days in the past
Enjoy yourself with nothing in your heart
其实，暂且搁置现在的烦闷
去到北广场，然后闭上双眼
任那些美好将自己淹没
放空那个美好的世界享受下就好


It is good to be an ordinary person at hard thought
When you said slow pace is fine, I back you a lot
其实想想，做个中庸的人也不错
你说慢节奏生活好，我附和着


When he told fast pace adds more spice to life ,
I agree without second thought
Like mansion with its luxury,
tiny apartment with its refinement
Good or bad, tell me not
他说快节奏生活刺激，我也赞同
就像小公寓精致，大宅奢阔
各有千秋，委实难分好坏


No matter how slow the past time was,
how fast it is in the current
无论从前有多慢
无论现在有多快


I know, the earth under your feet,
the love around your heart
Treasure them with your best,
no matter in the past
or in the right moment.

无论从前还是现在

我决定从此过上幸福的生活

It was many years ago.
I was a young dad sitting on the couch
reading a fairy tale to my little girl.
很多年前我还是个年轻的爸爸
坐在沙发上给小女儿讲童话故事


She sat next to me with her head on my arm
as I told the tale.
她坐在我身边
头枕在我胳膊上听我讲故事


When it came to the end I finished
with those famous words:
'And they lived happily ever after.'
故事的最后我用那句经典的话作结束语：
“从此他们过上了幸福的生活。”


As I looked over to her with her wavy, brown hair
and big, innocent eyes
I could see the smile on her face
and I never wanted it to end.
我看着她
她有着卷曲的棕色头发
和大大的、天真的眼睛
我能从她的脸上看到微笑
我希望能永远这样看着她


It dawned on me then that the ending of the book
was what I wanted for her.
I wanted her to 'live happily ever after.'
那时我明白了故事的结尾也是我对她的期望
我希望她“从此过上幸福的生活。”


Still, deep in my heart
I knew that this couldn't always be so.
I knew that there would be times
when her heart was broken.
然而内心深处我知道现实并非总能如我所愿
我知道有时她会伤心


I knew there would be times
when she cried in grief and I couldn't comfort her.
我知道有时她会伤心地哭泣
而我却不能给她安慰


I knew there would be times
when all she felt
was fear, sadness, sorrow, and despair.
我知道
有时她只会感到
恐惧、伤心、懊悔和绝望

As I stroked her hair and smiled at her
I hoped that those times would be brief
and that she would have joy in her life more often than not.
Living happily ever after,
though
seemed out of the question.
我抚摸着她的头发，对她微笑
我希望那些时刻都能很快过去
希望她的生活中更多的是快乐
然而
从此过上幸福生活似乎是不可能的

It took me a lot of years to realize
that it IS possible to live happily ever after.
很多年以后我才意识到
从此过上幸福生活是可以实现的。


You just have to do it 'one day at a time.'
Happiness you see isn't some reward
hat you get at the end of your journey.
你只需要“认真过好每一天”。
你看到的幸福
并非你人生旅程最终的奖励


Happiness isn't something dependent
on what life hands you.
Happiness is something you create in your life
choice by choice
and day by day.
幸福不是取决于生活赐予你什么，
而是你日复一日通过一个个选择
在生活中创造出来的。


The truth is happiness comes when you love.
Love is a gift from God.
事实是幸福就是付出爱时的体验，
爱是上帝恩赐的礼物。


It is love that mends broken hearts.
It is love that heals grief.
It is love that gives us joy.
只有爱才能修复受伤的心灵
只有爱才能抚平伤痛
只有爱才能给我们带来快乐


Choose to 'live happily ever after,
one day at a time.'
选择“从此过上幸福的生活，
过好每一天。”

从2011年第一季播出至今的第七季
每年一季，全球数万粉丝长一直的翘首期待


就像多年前的经典美剧《越狱》一样
让人魂牵梦绕着
该剧在豆瓣评分没有一部低于9分
第七季在烂番茄的平均新鲜度也是达到95%

甚至有许多网友直接把权力的游戏这部剧
称为国外版的三国演义



当然和三国比较而言
我个人觉得三国的


剧情
剧中角色的对话
内容

都更值得品味一些

Looking back on those previous issues,
those loves just like
some meteors highlight our life.
回首往事
想起那些如流星划过生命的爱情


We always like to scale of our destiny
making us separation.
我们往往会把彼此的错过
归咎于缘分


But actually the real truth which affects us
is the opportunities
of we meeting or feeling in love
with each other.
其实真正影响我们的
是相遇和相爱的时机


Between a male and a female ,
laden with a great deal of changes.
A little change could change the final direction.
男女之间的交往，充满了变数
一个小小的变化
就可能改变最终选择的方向


If we recognize each other earlier,
maybe some of us
can't tie the finger with other else,
如果彼此出现早一点
也许就不会和另一个人十指相扣


or recognize later,
till us had learned how to consider
and take care of the other,
又或者相遇得再晚一点
晚到两个人在各自的爱情经历当中
慢慢地学会了宽容与体谅
善待与妥协


perhaps as we held our hand tightly,
we would never loose it again.

If you love someone
but can't get together with him or her,
except to treasure a drop of tear
from your inner heart and
go away without a word,
what else can we choose?

Among thousands and hundreds of people,
we could encounter our lover.
It's really a destiny!
在千万人之中

we just miss and miss
between each other.
更多的时候

After so much sigh and grief again and again,
we finally understand that even a couple of lover,
also need the time to come to temper.

This wild world
has so many changes and separation
that couldn't been predicated,
maybe we would miss each other

repeating from day to day
more and more mechanically
and affectedly what they said and did
and thought and loved when they were alive.
日复一日，
更机械，更装腔作势地重复
他们有生之年的所作所为、所思所想、所爱所恨。


Recently, I suddenly realized that
this quote is talking about me.
最近，我忽然发现这则引言说的就是我。


I chose a stable job back as a civil servant
in my hometown under my parents' advice
after I graduated from college.
大学毕业之后
我听从父母的建议
在家乡找了一个稳定的公务员工作


The job is easy. And my workload is quite small.
So I have penty of time of mine own to spend.
工作很轻松，工作量也很小。
所以我有充足的时间可以自由支配。


I bought my car and my house
and went on dates which are arranged
by my parents.
Everything goes well in my life.
我买好了车和房子，
并根据父母的安排去约会。
生活中的一切都很顺利。


But, last month
I went to a classmates reunion.
And it crashed my heart.
但是，上个月我去了一个同学聚会。
而我的心彻底被打碎了。


When we were having the meal.
Some of my classmates
talked about their interesting jobs
and interesting challenges
in Internet companies.
宴席上，
有些同学在谈他们在互联网公司
那些有趣的工作、有趣的挑战


Some of them were talking about
strategies in investing in fund and stocks.
有些谈起他们在基金和股票上的投资策略


Some of them were talking about
all the new skills they have been learning,
which I hadn't even heard of.
有些则在谈他们在学的一些新技能，
而这些技能我听都没听过。


But I?
All I could talk about was
that my wife just got pregnant.
而我呢？
我能说的只是我太太前不久怀孕了。


And now it seems like my child is about
to take the same boring path that I have taken.
现在看来，
似乎我的孩子
也要走上我走过的这条无聊道路。


Is this the life that I want?
Is this even life?
这真的是我想要的生活吗？
这真的是生活吗？


This suddenly becomes so horrible to me.
I can't live like this.
我突然觉得这无比可怕。
我不能这样生活下去。


And that's why I started to search for a new job.
I don't want to die when I am thiry.
而这，也就是我重新开始找工作的原因。
我不想在30岁就死去。


Life is only worth living
when there are things to explore.
生活，只有在还有新事物可以探索的时候
才值得活下去。
